Actually I was pissed because I saw him play at the Euro or WC the year before and he scored 3 or 4 goals.

Now we have Zlatan, Trez... the fury as passed. He wouldn't do in Serie A what he's doing now in the EPL .
Agree.....!

Zidane was a drain on this team. Selling him was one of the most genious moves that Moggi ever made, and not just because we got a lot of money for him, but also because it got rid of Zidane's selfishness and his destabilizing influence on the team mentality.

Zlatan is a completely different story, and Moggi doesn't always sell his stars when he should ie. Del Piero.
I wasn't against selling Zidane, i just gave an example Ian that we can expect anything from moggi, Anyhow getting Nedved, Thuram, Buffon was a great move by Moggi...

Another point you stated is that we got rid of Zidane's Selfishness, then what do you Call Zlatan?? Zidane was brilliant in Juve and i Never saw him with the Selfishness things in juve games..

Like Don Bes intelligently pointed out, pay more attention to my post. Moggi sold Zidane during his prime, and as Ian stated his sale benefited the club in more ways than one. It would be a rather dubious decision by Moggi to sell one of the best young strikers in the world who is no where near his prime yet.
What about Vieri, Henry, and others???

And about one of the best young strikers in the world....(EXCUSE ME)!!!

Another thing, come and think about it this way, I don't think Moggi would Refuse $$ from Chelsea or Real Madrid who's always trying to hunt the young strikers in the world, am sure Moggi would go for it...

As I already stated, Henry was NOT a forward and was about on the same level as KAPO is now. Did Henry have 6 goals and over 8 assists with Juventus before the Christmas break a la Zlatan? Nah I didn't think so.

And yes Zlatan in my eyes is one of the best young strikers in the world, that is why we bought him in first place. I do not know why you dislike Zlatan, probably because you feel that Del Piero is threatened by Ibra's existence, but you cannot deny that he is very promising. Zlatan is not the type of player Moggi would sell right away, trust me.

Well possibly, I mean it depends how much cash we're talking about doesn't it? I mean if £50m comes along a la Zizou then I would have thought he'd accept, we are (supposedly) a profit making organisation these days rather than a football club

We'd be foolish not to take ridiculous money for any players. Of course we're going to sell if we get a bid that is far higher than market value. With that money we could buy a replacement who's just as good and have money left over. That's just good business. But, to say that Moggi would be in favour of selling Zlatan at this point, or in the near future is silly.

Trap: My Italy were unlucky Tuesday 4 January, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Former Italy boss Giovanni Trapattoni insists he has no regrets about the Azzurri’s disastrous Euro 2004 campaign.

Trap was heavily criticised after his side failed to qualify from their group, but he insists his squad were simply unfortunate.

"We had everything that was needed to do well in Portugal as we had at the World Cup. My conscience is clear as it was after Japan and Korea," he told ‘Il Giornale’.

"The fact is that we were without Francesco Totti (who was suspended for spitting) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will never score a goal like that again. We had potential but we were unlucky."

The veteran tactician was already put on trial before the tournament after ignoring Alberto Gilardino, Pippo Inzaghi and Roberto Baggio

"I have no regrets about not including Gilardino because it would have been madness to leave out Christian Vieri," he added.

"Time has shown that I was right to omit Inzaghi because of his fitness problems. Baggio? I would have had to revolutionise the team to accommodate him."

One of the few positive notes for the Azzurri during the tournament was the explosion of Roma youngster Antonio Cassano.

"He has class, talent and the touches of a champion. If he joins up again with Fabio Capello at Juventus then he will mature as a man and a player," noted Trap.

The now Benfica boss was shown the door by the Italian Football Federation in July as Marcello Lippi stepped in.

"He’s the right man for the job and I’m sure that he will lead Italy to the 2006 World Cup in Germany," Trap noted.

"He’s revolutionised the squad but I would have done exactly the same too."
