I predict he'll be playing at this level for another 2-3 years and even after that he'd be effective and useful (like Del Piero now). We would probably sign him on what, a 3 year contract tops? So his age really doesn't matter all that much considering the likely length of his contract and assuming he can keep this form up for the years within that contract.

Age doesn't matter when talking about the cost (transfer price + wages) of a player? I'm sorry, but to me that just doesn't make sense.
