are these stories about the deal being sealed CONFIRMED?
or are these just rumours flying around?
some website reported that cassano signed a 5 year contract with us almost 1 month back and it turned out to be a big fat lie.

there was a rumour this morning in a Roma fan site that said it was going to be official 3 hours ago. The deal was Miccoli, Chiellini and 8m € for Gassano. They also revealed the source. I went to the site and there was nothing. 
so it was BS.
The news of Cassano for Mutu, Chiellini and $$$ is reported on sites like channel4 footballitalia but I don't believe it. Let's wait 6 more days.
Miccoli + 5m € and Chiellini ON LOAN would make more sense to me since Cassano.s contract ends next year and could go for free b/c he doesn't want to re-sign with them.

i can't help but think that getting rid of Mutu would be a HUGE mistake! He has been impressive during preseason, appears to get on well with his fellow teamates and his skills cannot be questioned. The guy will not complain if he sits on the bench, will not be on a massive wage (both unlike Cassano) and is versitile for the team.
I just don't see the point on spending money on an unneccesary player, who could disrupt the harmony of the squad.
Mutu is IMO close to the same level of player Cassano is. We have chased Mutu for seasons only for him to impress and join other clubs, we finally have him, why give him away so soon at least give him a season or til January.

Andy, i dont dislike Mutu, on the contrary, i think is a fantastic player.
But im also understand the way Moggi sees the potential of the Cassano deal and what it represents :
Bringing to Juve the most creative young italian player, who probably will have a strong future in the NT...
The very high transfer fee we can obtain in two or three years for his card.
Having two different young candidates (zlatan, cassano) will double our chances to find someone to take Dp role as our leader in front. Mutu, as good as he is, is a already at his best. Those other two chaps have lots of room still to develop...
