In addition to Miccoli, you have to get rid of another forward to get Cassano. Getting Cassano means he has to be a starter and things have to revolve around him. Our team found some sort of momentum by the end of last season, it is a crime to try to disturb it.
Exactly. Leave the forward line as it is, the 17m Roma want for Cassano can be used much more sensibly.

IMO we don't really need Cassano, I can't deny that he has amazing skills and would be a great addition to any team. But we don't really need him.

We already have 2 players that fit into the same category: Del Piero and Mutu. Cassano is better than Del Piero, but Mutu is better.

And I wouldn't replace Del Piero with Cassano, why? Because of their mentality. Del Piero is always trying to prove himself, and even when he was benched by Capello, he didn't complain much (Although the fans and media did).

On the other hand, Cassano is a big risk to take. Capello can control him, but what happens after he leaves? Would he have learned to behave himself by then? I'd take that risk if Juve were short on forwards, but right now we have more than enough.

Noooo, really??? I say we add Recoba and Montella to supplement. :p
Now, Recoba would be something else entirely. While he could play as a forward, when the need arises he'd fit easily into Nedved's place.

May I even dare suggest that he's a more gifted player than Nedved. In fact I wouldn't be against buying him to replace Neddy full time.

Recoba on the left wing? Oh he loooooves that. :D He's always said he wants to play the support striker role. :)

He's pretty similar to Nedved actually. He's left footed, has a fearsome shot and is very versatile.

Lets hope his time at Inter has not pushed his career beyond redemption.:)

You can always think Cannavaro ;) I have to say I agree with you about his shoot, plus I see him a solution to our freekick syndrome.

We already have that solution: Mutu ..;)

I just realised something.. You know in the juve first team, not one player is naturally left-footed? Even Nedved is naturally right-footed.. But he can use it really well..

I think Cassano is surplus to our needs at the moment. Moggi, perhaps feel the same. But what we're overlooking is securing our future. Moggi probably sees the fact. Del Piero doesnt have too much left, and Moggi wants somebody to carry the team in the same way, and hes just trying to snap up one of Italy's future football icons. In doing so, he'll also be securing Juve's attacking options for sometime to come. So practically, this does serve a purpose.

That doesn't explain how we managed to sign players like Buffon, Thuram, Nedved, Emerson, Cannavaro and Ibrahimovic in recent time.
It does, because back then those teams had other priorities,
we cant compete on a player who is their number priority,
u know that
ex:Ream prefered Owen to Ibra

It will be a waste of time to buy Cassano now as we have 3alternatives to his place and we can get him for free next year,
the only thing we sould be interested is to sell, some of the already extra+undeede materialwe have and maybe eye a better-more-reliable finisher for the future,
now since we lost the only good opurtubity it was available in the market, we souldnt hurry to make a moove,
i think we dont sell any player, because we aim to use them as a swap deal for the new key midfielder we are looknig for
and the more we keep them and make cash, the more the Cassano moove becomes harder

Cassano would obviously be an ideal replacement for Del Piero but getting him next season makes more sense IMO. I can understand Moggi being worried about the competition we might face for Cassano's signature if we don't make our move now but if Antonio does indeed want to be reunited with Capello as badly as he has said he does I don't see why we can't wait another year. Cassano on a free would be one of the deals of the decade.

That IMO underlines how good the moves made by Moggi last season were. Florentino Perez brought in one of England's most majestic marksman in the last four or five years while Moggi opted for an unproven Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the latter has had the better season and made the bigger impact by a long shot. Real splashed the cash on Samuel and Woodgate and were still extremely shaky at the back whereas we got Zebina and Cannavaro for pretty much nothing and had one of the best defences in Europe.

So u mean,it would be a bad moove for Juve to buy Owen,Samuel and Woodgate
instead of Zlatan Zebina and Cannavaro if we had the chance?

Samuel was disastrous whereas Cannavaro was brilliant. Woodgate was injured for the entire year while Zebina was a pleasant surprise at right back. Owen did well but didn't make near as big an impact as Zlatan, and Real paid about twice as much as we did for their three players. I rest my case.

I C, u judge by the results and only,
but how can u be convinced that,
those players wouldnt do better in Juve
and our players repeat this disaster in Real?
