Crazy ass haul of picks, 5 1sts, for Desmond "t-rex arms" Bane.
But he is a fantastic player and scorer. Just overzealous giving up the also crazy Mikal Bridges package for him (who Bane is better than). Who also went for 5 picks from Brooklyn.
Either way, biggisst question mark is wtf are Grizzlies doing? Since trading for Marcus Smart a year ago, and firing Jenkins their culture builder of a coach, I have no idea wtf they trying to do dismantling their talented core?

Orlando had almost no outside shooting, everyone knew this, so they had to get someone. In this position you end up overpaying, but it is a lot.
They'll easily keep making the playoffs as the East is less competitive. Who knows, it could all come together like Indiana. A 50-32 season wouldn't surprise me.

Said it plenty of times but injuries do often decide championships. It's a 5v5 sport with only so many true great players, so to be expected.
On to the NBA draft now. Jazz desperately need to get it right and draw a legit starter. I'm hearing Fears getting a lot of play atm. Ace Bailey seems to be causing all sorts of problems with his shitty advisor, and could drop down the draft like Cam Whitmore. I still think someone will take him top 6 or 7 worst.

Top 3 no surprises. Knueppel's stock rose a lot in the past few weeks and Hornets seemed to bite. Ace Bailey seemed genuinely shocked that Utah ignored all of his shenanigans and picked him anyway, lmao. Demin is the surprise for me, he was never in contention for 8th. I think Coward will be a steal at 11. Spurs did well to get the obvious Harper choice but also Carter Bryant.
I don't know much about Walter Clayton Jr but he's an older guy and they can't always draft 18 year olds. He seems like a good culture guy who will probably take the Jordan Clarkson role as scoring combo guard 6th man.
Jase Richardson at 24 could be a steal. I'm not sure about Brooklyn's picks in general but with 5 at least a couple have to hit.
