Mavs need to be thrown out of NBA.

Thrown out of USA.

Nay ejected from the entire planet.

Because WTF DO YOU DO THIS FOR. Luka is 2nd best asset in entire league after Wemby. Young unstoppable force of a superstar. And you trade him for 31 year old AD and a pick?

By far the craziest trade ever in NBA history.

Lakers will always have that huge advantage to other teams when it comes to trades, but Dallas are a laughing stock here. This came out of nowhere, suggests to me some kind of breakdown in their relationship. Also wonder wtf AD thinks of all this lol. Not sure why we'd get involved to help the Lakers either when we own future pick of theirs.

While I'm in this thread, fuck the Magic, another bum-ass EC team :howler:

Was literally me this morning after a few last night.

Dallas seem to be firmly in the 'Luka is fat and will age like a fine milk' mindset, according to sources I've read. He didn't ask for a trade. The rest of the Mavs might though lol. AD isn't even in good condition these days. When Luka moves, regardless of anything else, that has to be for a trade like AD, young prospect AND multiple picks.

LeBron could very well get traded now.

Don't scoff at the idea.

The Lakers could very well be rebuilding their franchise in the span of 2 weeks

- - - Updated - - -

I don't like the trade for the remaining 35 games, but I absolutely LOVE it for the next 10 years

You think this Warriors story has any traction?

I think the Lakers are finally done with Klutch sports. Tired of the passive aggressiveness at every trade deadline.

They could very well suck the rest of the year once LeBron gets traded. I don't think they care.

I think they cared about getting a 25 year old franchise needle mover.

Go back on this thread to when I was absolutely livid about the NBA blocking the Chris Paul trade.

Irony.

That package was better than what the Mavericks just got.

But this is the 2nd instance where a team is willing to absolutely fuck itself to get out of paying to their superstar that’s eligible for tons of money, KAT in the summer was the first wtf deal and Luka easily tops that. Isn’t it easier to just pay the guy rather than going for some 5-year rebuild plan?

Spurs win out big time lol

Didn't give up young talents like Castle or Vasell.

Role players like Sochan or Keldon Johnson.

Just doodoo platter of not needed players like Tre Jones, Zach Collins or Sissoko. Because bulls were desperate to get rid Lavine for above mentioned players, Kings got Lavine who is not far off Fox plus picks so they happy.

Essentially spurs just got Fox for 3 picks lol

2021 Minnesota pick is the one Spurs received by trading their 8th pick this year. Also getting rid of Zach Collins is a plus on its own.
But it's a lot of picks. Exciting to see Fox with Wemby.

4 picks. 2x 2025 picks from hornets and bulls, one 2027 Spurs and one 2031 Timberwolves.

Spurs now have Cp3, Fox, Castle and McLaughlin for PG position.

Ok I stand corrected. 2025 hornets pick is top 14! Protected and with them being shit it was likely not going to convey. So Spurs technically lost 3 first round picks and 5 second round picks, 2 of which are the result of hornets pick not conveying.

The Luka trade smells like shit and there's no way that's the full story.

This is 100% a play to get the team relocated to Vegas.

NBA ratings are down so this is a win-win for Adam Silver.

I used to obsessively follow the NBA for about 15 years between 2000-2015 but I've completely stopped watching games and caring. I don't even check box scores anymore. People joke that European football is corrupt... American sports are basically entertainment these days. Even if it wasn't corrupt, the product is just shit. I used to play basketball and the fact today's game consists of pathetic defence, no mid-range game, and guys jacking up 3s all game is incredibly saddening.

And I'm a Laker fan. The "81" in my username is a reference to Kobe's 81 point game.

None of this would actually surprise me.
