Wow, what the fuck were the Lakers thinking? I wish we had traded Muscala for Zubac and Beasley. It’s like they’re trying to help the Clippers gain assets for an AD trade.
Fultz going to the Magic

If Philly gets anything more than a Mickey Mouse Hat, its a steal for them.
Jonathan Simmons, a first and a second. Elton Brand is a genius.

If he's going to have that kind of attitude, then he can just roll with the young kids that we have. All that talk about him wanting to win a championship with the Lakers was a bunch of lies. I don't even think that he realizes that if he can guide this young core to a title, or even to the Finals, that his legacy would grow even more.

You know.

OI'm kind of done here for a few days on this forum, especially this thread. Its not good for my heart. (There's your medical hint)
Look after yourself, man. Take some time off from the circus, and take care of your health. Most important thing.

Nothing but love here for you, when you get back.

Good trade for Simmons. He’s a good defender.

First is OKC’s it looks like, so somewhere around 25th as things stand. And then Cleveland’s 2nd. So late first, early 2nd. Nice draft capital, can maybe find a sleeper with one of those picks.

But why is Zubac the throwaway player lol.

I know. Dude has exploded over the last month whenever Walton has given him minutes. He's never going to be a star in the NBA. But he could easily be a starting C, he's got great hands and can score, does good work on the offensive glass, and blocks shots.

Bizarre-o land to see 21 year old Zubac attached to a Beasley - Muscala swap. Beasley - Muscala is a fair deal. We just gave them Zubac on top of that for nothing. There's something seriously wrong with the optics of this. How do we not ask for and get at least a 2nd round draft pick in this deal, if not the late first round pick they got from Philly.

And as I said, if we use it to sign an over-the-hill Melo, I don't even know what we're doing anymore.

East is going bananas! Now its only Boston lagging behind.

Boston waiting for the truly big fish, AD in the summer. They aren't going to do anything to jeopardize their ability to go after him hard, even if it's strongly rumoured he won't sign there.

@zizinho

Wat a statement from the Lakers tonight away to the Celtics, with no Ball, missing our new 3 and D specialist, off the back off worst loss in years for team, and seemingly demoralized by the trade deadline shenanigans.

Down 124-118 with 1:24 left, KCP hits a quick 3, Ingram gets the steal off Kyrie pass, then Bron ties it up with a 3, Tatum hits fts but Kuzma puts us ahead with another 3, Kyrie gets a bucket to put Celtics back ahead and then Rondo gets the rebound and hits the game winner at the buzzer after Ingram gets his drive blocked.. :tuttosport:

Bron, Kuzma, Rondo tonight :delpiero:

Can’t wait for Lonzo to get back and fix our defense (our defensive rating has dropped 10 pts since Ball went down from 7th best in the league to like 28th) and Bullock to start logging minutes and get our 3pt shooting going. We’re nowhere near championship material, but we’re going to be fun to watch down the stretch imo.

One of the most entertaining games I’ve watched this season.

I was watching the game half a sleep but still caught most of the action. That end section was fantastic, what an exchange. What makes it so great for me is that it wasnt James isoing for the last 5 minutes but it was a lot of other guys making plays. I hope the trade talks are behind us now and these kids can focus on balling out for the playoffs.

Id like to mention Ingram as well. When hes not forcing things, he is such a fun player. Off shooting night but his playmaking was very good. As soon as he expands his range to the 3pt line, he will be a beast.

And yes, Ball to me was playing all NBA defense before his injury. Its incredible how much impact he has on that end so early in his career. Im still bitter about losing him when he was playing so well
