Simmons and Saric say hi

- - - Updated - - -

And Embiid is still part of the process
Saric lol

Simmons is alright but without Embiid, your whole process would have been for nothing (and he was like the 1st piece you got, so you wasted 3 years on doing nothing). hes your franchise if he stays long enough

The process is coming! And it’s coming hard!
Just finished watching the game on league pass, I dont even know how to describe this game by him, the motherfucker was doing euro step, that shimmy fake outs exactly 4 minutes left of the game, the unstoppable agile post moves on double teams, RIDICOLOUS  Thats on top on being a beast that can defend the paint and perimeter at will.

Btw, Simmons needs to learn how to shoot within 2 years, will become best player if he does, he is near perfect teammate right now, watched him 3 full games and he can find anyone at any time, and drive with sublime ease. His shot/floaters are broken tho, even if half those layuy/floaters go in, it looks kinda awkward and he could double his points when he polishes that.

Lonzo can shoot for shit btw, that shot is ugly af
He is fucking awful right now, he is a pussy, 3rd laker game I seen where he is by far the worst on the field and plays with depressed attitude. Just bench him already, he is not even creating for others like this sixers game, he just hiding out there.

Process my ass. Embiid >>>> rest of Sixers
Is that a joke? Simmons is guranteed HOF just by keeping pace in NBA and staying healthy, a rookie being this fucking beastly elite floor general is not frigging normal.

Him and Giannis will own the MVP awards in next generation of superstar players.

WTF? Are you really this blind. Simmons and Embiid are guranteed super duo if they stay healthy and stick together. If anything Simmons might become more unstoppable then Embiid if he practices and nails a good jumper. Litterally everything about him is already there, physicality, iq, ball handling, vision, quickness, decision making, alpha aggression, selfless team first leader type. He needs nothing else but the shooting stroke and jumper.

hes not getting MVPs over Embiid, unless Joel gets injured for like an entire year and Simmons leads them to a top3 finish or something like that.

He can, Embiid is insane. But if he starts shooting midrange and 3s after working on it, there is nothing else to envy or he cant compete with. He can score high volume while basically being Lebron/Magic copy out there.

lets see if he even gets a respectable jumpshot 1st OK? he shoots 50% from the FT line and is no 3pt threat at all. thats terrible shooting

@Osman, you can't bench Lonzo. He needs to play through this. It's the only way. He's got to figure it out for himself.

At least he understands his limitations right now. And if Simmons is shooting terribly, then what do you call what Lonzo is doing out there? He's shooting less than 50% from the FT line, and less than 20% from the 3pt line

But man, he is unbearable to watch, he needs to man the heck up. He wasnt even faciliating last night, just hiding off the ball and shooting awful 3s. His only point was an awkward lucky lob to the basket in a scuffle play. If he cant drive, can barely shoot, is even hiding from playmaker duties, then what stops Clarkson from starting? I mean Clarkson is the son of a gun you went to play whole 4th quarter when you needed to chase the win.

Atleast Ingram and Kuzma are playing like actual gunners out there, knowing team relies on them.

I just don't know if benching him helps right now. He needs to lay off the 3's and concentrate on driving the lane and getting mid-range looks right now. Forget about the 3 until everything else falls into place.

Thats the thing tho, I dont expect him to be sharpshooter, but a rookie learning to shoot is dime a dozen occurance, Lebron and Leonard barely had jumshots starting off, many drive first types dont. He needs proper coaching and time and he will even more beastly.

But yeah the FT part is inexcusable for me, because he is so unstoppable with his drives he will gurantee fouls, so needs to practice fts quickest of all to be even more punishing.

Btw, he is smart enough to know he shouldnt even try 3s, 1 month into the season and he doesnt even have one attempt I think? Just a couple of midrange attemps, everything else he allways plays to his strenth. His B ball iq is off the charts, no hero ball nonsense and allways makes the plays thats necessary to get ahead. Only minor flaw with his normal playstyle is he is too left side heavy, feels awkward when driving and finishing to the right, even if effective.

Serious question, when was the last time a rookie looked as great as Simmons does right now? Very versatile as fuck.

Tatum > Simmons > .......................... > Lonzo > Fultz

That's all folks :D
I like Tatum, super smooth, but you arent serious right? :D

I wont count out Fultz, he has the excuse of injury, Lonzo has zero excuse.

he has the physicality and passing ability to become a multiple all star, and with an improved jumpshot (lets say, 65-70% from the line and to be enogh of a threat from the 3pt line for defenders to not leave him any space), he can be a top 10-15 player in the league and 2nd best player on a deep playoff team. but Embiid is just more special, best center in the league if he can stay healthy for years. if someone from that teams wins the MVP, its him definitely

And if Lonzo had Simmons' numbers right now, you would absolutely be calling him a franchise player and future MVP candidate
Lonzo doesent have the luxury to play with a player like Embiid though.

He leads rookies in points, assists and rebounds, Embiid is super special and unstoppable (the Shaq of this era if healthy), but dont sell Simmons short, which you are IMO.

Btw, @King of Kings, what the heck was Walton thinking Randle could guard Embiid? It was kinda ridicolous how easy it was for him. Its the same freak who made both Wllie Reed and Deandre Jordan, big tough guys, foul out because they couldnt handle him. And Randle is too small for him by some margin.

Why? Because he won't be a 6:10 PG in the league? Other than that he has all the best of Simmons plus a sublime shot from anywhere on the field and higher IQ, and not to forget he is younger.
Tatum's stats will be even more impressive if he wasn't playing on a team like Celtics.

Fultz is done, you can forget about him. I said before the draft that his ceiling was that of a decent player in the NBA because he lacked explosiveness for the Guard position. The way his career has started off, however, he will be ruined mentally, and possibly physically too, for good.

Lonzo has a chance to be a good player if he overcomes the mental lock-ups - lack of proper shooting tech is maybe less of a problem down the road. Still, unless he rids himself of that family circus he drags along, I wouldn't bet on him.

Kuzma has been great so far. He and Simmons, however, have the luxury of playing on rebuilding teams.
Tatum was forced to be a starter on a contender, due to Hayward's injury, but his role and minutes are still limited even if he is their 3rd best player behind Kyrie and Horford - I guess Cs are looking to ease him in and not put too much pressure on a 19 yo kid.
