Siakam is gonna be an all star, the top 20 thing is hard to gauge, there’s a lot of players on interchangeable spots after the top 5 or so

You guys overrate the guys between 15 to 20, there is a solid top 12 to 15 that's insane in this league. But there is significant drop off after that. And current Siakam has added offensive triple threat finesse to his overall that trumps some of them solely because he was already fantastic two way player.

Likes of Jrue Holiday or Chris Paul for example look completely finished as players currently and majority of the GMs would take Siakam over them, or a Middleton, Draymond Green or Harris etc. Thats the types I would say he is over in top 20.

First of all let’s pump the brakes on calling players finished when there’s only been a couple weeks since the league started.

Curry, Durant, Lebron, AD, KAT, Giannis, Simmons, Klay thompson, Doncic, harden, Lillard, Kawhi, PG13, Dame, Westbrook, Spida, Embiid,Jokic

I don't know. I just named 18 guys that you can make a case for that are better than Siakam.

That's a good list and you are completely right. Only one I can argue a case current Siakam might be better is only Mitchell, non of the others. I would take him out and maybe add Butler.

I kind of forgot Durant and Klay due to season ending injuries, my mental image was of an ESPN list of best current players, and they didnt have any injured players on it.

In the list of skilled chuckers that do little to nothing for your win column as the first option.
And all the same no sane GM would pick Siakam over Kyrie. :baus:

It’s 6 games into the season. I like Siakam and think he is turning into a star in the league, and perhaps this 6 game run extends and he becomes a bonafide superstar this year, but are we honestly arguing that this 6 game stretch already trumps the rest of his career? That he’s going to continue putting up 26 pts/game and shooting over 42% from 3? 96% on free throws, etc.

I’d like to see a longer sample size first of this sort of play.

These ratings don’t do justice to players on average to bad teams. Look at guys like Griffin, Young, Dipo, Booker, etc that are monsters but don’t get enough recognition.

I would’ve really liked to see Griffin on a contender, dude’s insane. Plus he’s really worked on his shot the last few years

You could also use the big fish, small pond argument the other way around for those guys.

Sad state of affairs for the Dubs right now. Having said that, they'll have Steph, Klay, Green, and maybe even D'Angelo for next season. Add a high draft pick, and that team looks a contender.

As for Spicy P, the dude definitely has the potential to be in the top 20, but let's revisit this argument come season's end.

I hope Warriors get the nr 1 pick, first because I'm curious if Bob Myers can pick well with top percentile talents (he isnt doing too good with his late 1st or 2nd round picks).
And second because it would troll the fuck out of the whole league.

This upcoming draft is basically are all talented PG/combo guards loaded except James Wiseman and Isaiah Stewart as quality Bigs.
