Enjoying that this team has some heart and fire which was missing the last couple years.

However, Lebron-Kuzma-Ingram-Ball-Hart needs to be the starting lineup sooner rather than later. Let them lose some games, but have this unit develop and gain confidence. Hart is already significantly better than KCP, and I'd rather see Lonzo gain confidence as a starter than have Rondo eat up starter minutes even if Rondo is currently better.

Also, Walton is right. The FT disparities are garbage. Lakers outscoring opponents in the paint by 20ish points in these 3 games. Lebron and Hart have been absorbing so much uncalled contact when driving. But Harden, Paul, Aldridge, etc getting fts for flopping 25 ft from the basket. I wouldn't even mind them allowing the contact in the paint if they didn't give fouls and free throws for nothing contact far from the basket. Annoying to watch.

Did you watch the game last night? This team is much more fluid and better defensively when Ball and Hart are starting. On a side note: staying up until 1 AM on shcool nights for 2 days in a row as a 49 year old is getting on my last fucking nerve

Kawhi destroyed Simmons on both ends, just 9 field goals attempted and 11 turnovers... meanwhile had 31 (on 19 shots)-7-4-4 on the other end. early MVP candidate along with Giannis and AD

Enjoy it while it lasts. He's getting traded as soon as the 60 day window on Marqueese Chriss and Brandon Knight expire. Whcih I believe is Friday.

"You mean to tell me I get to go to another team I can keep brutalizing Lakers in?" :weee:

He is a goner, thats been a foregone conlusion ages, just about holding out for best deal, and the fact Rockets offered 4 1sts for him is very promising (even if their initial firsts are kinda worthless) for a player you about to lose for free.

But seriously Serge, no offense or banter, but HOW bad is your defense? Jeez it was shocking.

Right now its pretty bad. I have no problem admitting that. But this team also brought in 4 players who are playing major minutes, one of them being arguably the best player in the world. This is going to take some time. It happens with every team that Lebron joins. The good new though is that every game has been close. Their average loss margin is around 6 points per game. They are not getting blown out. Far more positive signs for the season than negative ones so far.

Its still shocking tho, your coach has alot of work to do. Also YOU BADLY BADLY need a big rebounding Center, Mgcee playing 40+ minutes is a joke in crunch games, litterally only big presence and rim protector around. The rest try to rebound by committee, and its weird and it fails. Doesnt matter the lineup is one of the longest in the league, when no one can rebound contested boards consistently besides Mgcee, wings arent bigs for obvious reasons. Coupled with the bad streaky shooting that leads to lots more rebounds, and it spells trouble. Towns barely had to do anything special to get all those boards that game, same with other Lakers games I seen, your average big man just cleans house under the rim uncontested vs you.

Also look out for this kid, not your biggiest prospect, but is a mini-me Butler defensively, super eclectic high motor kid:

one of the biggest what ifs ever. youngest MVP, unguardable, and if he and Jimmy had time to grow together without the injury, they would have delivered the 7th to Chicago in 2014 or 2015. big shame

Why should they, the fool cant shoot for shit, he even said this summer was the first time ever he "practiced" shooting, how idiotic doesnt that sound for a basketball player?

And yeah I still cant get enough of this! Such a magical performance:

People want to dump on Lonzo at their earliest convenience, but at least the kid built himself up in the gym by adding almost 20 lbs of muscle AND working on his shooting form, which early on is pretty evident that it is better.

And this was in the off-season

All while rehabbing from surgery to remove the torn meniscus in his knee. That same knee that caused him to sit out for a month in June due to having a PRP injection in it

Beat Portland, in Portland for the 1st time in 16 tries.

Proceed to get beat at home against the Raptors WITHOUT Kawhi Leonard the next night.

Growing pains. That is what I tell myself. I just hope Tyson Chandler has something left in the tank.

i turned the game off at halftime, that was some ridiculously bad 1st quarter, which didnt look THAT bad (was 41-10 at one point) in the end considering we finished it on a 7-1 run. watched the highlights this morning, they cut it to 10 at some point in the 4th but too late obviously. 2 days to rest now, hopefully they are better prepared for the Wolves
