Who holds a gun to your head and forces you to keep responding to him and posting there?
No one, as long as he is legitimately starting discussions like that I'll keep thumping him on the head. The whole point of my Russian rant is to make him understand how simplistic and idiotic his arguments are. I once learned in a communications class that if you want to teach someone you have to understand their level, descend to it and slowly drag them up.

You do hold the gun that could end the cause of these discussions. What do you expect? It might not be a real life discussion forum, but if someone spreads bigotted bullshit like that he'll get a taste of his own medicine. Why is it ok to shelter cretenism just because he isn't really shouting it into your face?

And you think your logic is going to convince Juve[RUS] in the error of his ways and thinking.

Good luck, muchacho.
Weaksauce.

Explain what the real approach is to a post like that. In real life it's easy, you go out of your inner circle of pale basement incest offspring friends and start spewing that shit and you will either get a whooping or arrested for public disorder. On our forum it's just a-okay because it's like your opinion man and the focal point of the discussion is shifted as to why someone reacts to it :D . It's beautiful.

So his very first post at the start of the argument does not deserve a ban/infraction just because others got into an argument with him later?
He'll dodge that one like Cronios dodges facts.

Weaksauce is acting surprised -- like you don't expect the outcome, or lack thereof -- every time you engage with Juve[RUS] like that.

If you poke the monkey in the cage and it bites you, don't complain if you get bit if you go back and poke the monkey again. You've played that card, buddy.

Weaksauce is when you don't ban someone for making a generally racistic post but as a moderator tries to discourage people from calling him out on it. If you bothered reading my posts I was never racistic towards Russians in general. I criticised the educational system, some shady dealings in war, and the part of the population who are neo-nazi.

edit:

Tbh, being racist in real life is perfectly fine and you won't get arrested or fined unless you create a very big, and I mean big, ruckus. Peaceful protests are perfectly legal, regardless of what they stand for. I'm with swag on this, the reactions to his posts are what's really inflating the issue.

Well, I did ban him with a standard 4-point infraction, because you can be a bigot -- but it's another thing to publicly post that and throw everyone from an entire religion under the bus.

Going out into the street and spewing off racist bollocks will you get you arrested anywhere in the civilised part of the world. An organised protest or march where the nazi's can gather is well within their rights (in some countries)

edit: pointless discussion, I better stop before I get thrown under a bus, too :D
