Home button removed, first ever! In an iPhone...
Finally wireless charging, first time ever! On an iPhone...
They increased the screen resolution beyond their retina standards and called it super retina, but again lower resumption that the typical Android flagship and again best PPI ever, in an iPhone...
It's finally officially waterproof, yes you guess right, first time ever! In an iPhone...
And they didn't even bother to give the 1000$ variation 4GB instead of 3gb .
C mon, this is the model that has the newest technology and the only thing that has different from the competition is that it does not support SD cards and audio jack.
There is absolutely no new element in a flagship that is supposed to be way ahead of it's time, all the new elements are present in other flagship a year before and in some occasions 3 years before and since they can't compete with anyone, they dare to say that this feature we copied is introduced for the first time in an iPhone... Really?

6s is cool. my brother still has his. too bad it's barely 2 years old, but he has to replace its battery already.

i tried one the other day. it's a fancy looking iphone with all the limitations of ios and without a headphone jack (which is a deal breaker for me). also, it's ridiculously expensive for any device with a lifespan of 2-3 years at max, so i'd rather buy a proper headphone or stereo amp for that money which would last 10x more than a freaking phone. also, the x is waaaay too expensive to repair and it's pretty fragile even for an all-glass phone, so a case is mandatory - but that ruins the design.

Got a free Huawei P10 from work, was hoping for the P10+ but who am I to argue when it's free.

Camera is immense, probably wasted on someone as clueless as me when it come to photography.

4GB ram like my old Samsung S7 so still very fast but with twice the storage and a much better phone management app for clearing out junk files.

Huawei offer a VIP service as well which means there's a 3 year warranty and screen damage within first 3 months is covered with a full handset replacement

In summary, very happy with it

It uses Leica lenses so that camera is absolutely brilliant. It's a wonderful phone IMO.

To be fair, seeing how many iPhones get stolen after their release in the last few years; I'd be fucking terrified of holding an iPhone X on the streets in broad daylight.. That thing is pretty much a brick of gold considering the price it costs

on the us market, the iphone 8 starts at $700 (just like the s8), while the x starts at $1k.

locally, the x costs 380.000 huf, which is ~$1400 with all hungarian taxes. the iphone 8 costs at least 264k, the s8 starts at 157k huf, p10 is cheaper at 124k. i wouldn't call those prices "pretty much the same".

I hate people buying a phone like that if the only programs they ever use is like whatsapp and instagram for example. Why you buy it in the first place if you (generally speaking) don't make use of all it's power?

Could have just bought some cheapo phone in that case.
