Thank you Alex Ultra for the French info. I'm glad I don't have to look at Zidane during the game.

My question to all of you...should all Azzurri topics be posted on the Miscellaneous soccer forum? This IS an international game, in an international competition (Euros)...shouldn't it be in the International Forum? I can't seem to think of the Azzurri as "miscellaneous".

Thanks,
Sweetie

no problem azzurrigirl anytime, and im also glad that i dont have to look a zidane and that bauld loser barthez .....and i also agree how can the lineup of azzurri be listed as miscellaneous ...whoever started this thread started it in the wrong area in should be moved to international for euro 2008

I think it's a great team. As long as Canna and Zambrotta are playing I'm happy and with Gattuso, Pirlo and Grosso and Gigi in goal we are strong. I will reserve opinion on Casanno until I see him play. And thank God at least I CAN see this game.

And YES this thread needs to be moved to the correct forum....International.

I'm with you Alex...I think Cassano should be given a fair chance to prove himself. After all he has made an effort to get himself back on the right track and he is young. I'm taking a wait and see attitude right now.

hey if canna thinks cassanos return to italy is great then hey who are we to argue ....here is what he said in a interview

Cannavaro is pleased with Antonio Cassano’s return to the national squad and believes he will be an asset for the team.

“The real Cassano is back, he knows he is an important player and I am sure he will contribute to Real Madrid’s and Italy’s success.”:toast:

match fitness? cassano hasnt started a game in 8 months, ambrosini who? Donadoni is trying to be too fancy instead of riding the successes of a team which won a world cup less than 2 months ago

Molto grazie Alex for the words of my favorite Azzurri, Canna. And since he's been spending time with Cassano then I believe him when he says Cassano will be an asset. Looking forward to the game.:D

You won't believe me, but I will be happy if Lithuania wins. Although I'm italian, I'm so disgusted with what happened in the last months that I hope in a total failure... So maybe guidomerdo rossi and his gang will be obliged to resign and so hopefully our football federation will be credible and honest as it should be.

Rossdale...the Azzurri players and the fans had nothing to do with this so called calciopoli scandal. They should not be made to pay. It's enough that Juve fans and players have been penalized in an out of proportion way. And if you think that corruption in sport or in anything else in Italy will ever totally go away you are living in a dream world! Soccer will NEVER be clean. Wherever there is money and power there will also be the people to corrupt.

As for the game...

I hope and pray my Azzurri will win and continue to win all the way to the European Cup. They are overdue to win it. I admire the Azzurri and the way they played in the WC. They were a true team and it was that teamwork that brought them the cup. They showed us for a few weeks what it means to play for country pride and for the pure love of the game...perhaps just the way they played when they were boys.

FORZA AZZURRI PER SEMPRE....FORZA CANNA IL NOSTRO GRANDE CAPITANO!
