Are you serius? why would Israel have any motivation to do that ? since the assasination, Nasrallah gained more and more power over Lebanon. Do you realy belive the Israelis would want a fantic in charge there?

Thats absurd at best

Hizbollah are controld by forgien powers such as Iran and Syria, they are not there to serve as a pure politcal power. they have no reason to achive peace or economical stability as there funding from over seas will be cut off
Actually, man, it would make a lot of sense if Israel did it.

Lebanon is Israel's enemy; by killing Hariri, they would cause civil unrest in the country and possibly cause a civil war even. Not only that, but they know that the fingers would be pointed at their other great enemy, Israel. Actually, it's really clever and the smart political thing to do. "Let those fucking Arabs destroy each other" is what Israel would say.

Not sure if I could say the same for Hezbollah.

You are right, I forgot Isreal wants the best for Lebanon.
No, Israel wants the best for Israel.
Do you realy thinking that Israel would like to destabilize Lebanon ? for what end? another war on our northern border?

trust me, I know the war did alot of damage to Lebanon, but Hizballah werent throwing flowers at us either, The last thing the public in Israel wants is another war right now..

Israel always want to have weaker neighbors, I have seen it with my own eyes how it tried to destroy Lebanon, many times..

A Chaos in Lebanon, another civil war, pointing fingers on Hizbollah, Syria then Iran.. Last war's revenge, do you want me to count more?

No, but your government knew that killing Hariri would make the pro-American political groups stronger and that's exactly what happened. It rejuvenated groups that were dead and buried like the Lebanese forces. Hezbollah only took political control after the war; they weren't in political power before that time.

So you could say that the plan kind of backfired a bit. Because had Hezbollah been defeated in 06; the Lebanese government would probably be pro-Israel.

Your argument realy lacks final logic

Those means you mentions, creating a Civil war and so on, where do you think we want them to lead? to an all out war against Lebanon ? what will we gain by that?

Land ? money? Revenge? If you think our mothers will send us to war for revenge then you sorly mistaken

There is no corralation between the two things. Hizballah are founded solely by Iran and syria in terms of money and arms.
We havent fought the Lebanese army for a long time, they are two diff. bodies as far as i know, please correct me if i'm worng

Lebanese army doesn't exist, if it does, it is as strong as fart. Once a civil war occurs, the army won't exist. Will be divided.

If the trial ends with blaming Hezbollah, these might happen, and no one will care about hezbollah and what Israel will do within Lebanon. A perfect chance, you know what I mean?

Will you deny the loss of your Army in the last war just like you government does? :shifty:

Seriously, dude? Do you understand how much credibility Hezbollah lost for pulling a stunt like that. It was only more reason for the pro American groups to hate Hezbollah. It did Hezbollah a lot more damage than good. The only thing it did do was get them some respect and prove Nasrallah was a great leader.

But I really doubt the war was just a part of Hezbollah's master plan to take over Lebanon. That's like saying I'm gonna go and punch the biggest and strongest guy in my college right in the face, so I can ride shotgun in my friend's car.

I don't know why you're convinced that your government has a crush on Lebanon to be honest. Frankly, I find it quite weird that you have this opinion.

First off all what can we do within Lebanon? there is nothing of intrest there for us as long as its quiet. what, will we Annex Lebanon? Get real.

For your second point, I will ignore it, as it will lead along lines i dont want to go

A question for Jack, Rab or any Lebanese friend.

I'm planning to go tomorrow with my family to attend Armin's party in Beirut, do you think it is safe? Is it better to use public transportation than to drive my Syrian car?

I think it's safe. I highly doubt the situation is going to escalate beyond the political tension for now, so I would say it's okay to take your car. But that's just me.

Hizbollah isn't behind this, Nasrallah wouldn't do such a coward thing.
I wouldn't accuse them just yet so long we don't have evidence or proofs.

And I also think this is not about being coward or brave IMO, it's more about political choices that Hezbollah follow.

Not accepting the fact that they could have a spy or criminals organizations or even thieves in their group/party makes it difficult to negotiate with them at times.
Its normal that political groups of any nature have spies and in middle eastern politics, assassination has also been a last resort in order to turn political tides.. Isreal being one of the main offenders.

It wouldn't suprise me at all if accusations aimed at Hezbollah were found to be true especially if there was political pressure from Syria and Iran who both have been known to fund the party itself.
