Thanks for the pic's.

This reminds me of the election in Ukraine not too long ago. Hopefully these protests continue.

King Ale, will a show of force by the government contain this, or will it strengthen the ppl's resolve?

The former will happen. This is the middle east. government force always triumphs free will and the people's choice.

Fred is right. Although I prefer to live in a country in which I CAN NOT VOTE rather than living somewhere in which you wrote A and the government read B.

The CBC ran a story on youth in Tehran, where they interviewed a female rapper, members of a band, and a female rally car driver. I'm not sure if most of what was said was true (certain music being illegal, women not being allowed to go to football stadiums, etc), but I was infuriated. Anytime governments tell people how to live their life is overstepping their boundaries.

Also, they quoted a stat that shocked me. Something like 3/4 of the population are under 30. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for this demographic to be forced to live by rules enforced by a bunch of hypocrites.

Was in a birthday party earlier tonight, lots of iranians friends there, easy to say that they were NOT in a jolly mood. Had to console an old classmate of mine, her father is in Iran right now specifically to take part in the elections, support Moussavi (rather optimistic old guy who thought it was time for a change), and she was beyond disraught to say the least.

All Iraniens have my outmost deepest sympathies.

That is so untrue bros. Not all your fingers are the same.

Personally, from where I come from and from what I've seen, Parents never interfere or most of the times don't. The ones that interferes is basically the man and woman's fault for letting other people interfere.

We are not closed up on ourselves, we are open minded, but of course with limits for everything. Which is very normal and logical thing. That's how it is at least in Leb.
