I am from the peaceful neighborhood of Tarik Al Jadida My family was there at the time of the militia attacks, they couldn't escape the area to go to the mountains cos all the roads were blocked. But things are calmer there now.
I'm sick of politicians talking, they should all just shut up for like a few months cos I'm working in Oman now, and shit better cool down cos I wanna come home this summer.

Are lebaneses arabs ? i mean,u consider urself as arabs ?
mmm,cuz i always thought countries like egypt and lebanon are not arabs,at least not originaly.

Also,do u hate persians? i know most of arabs hate us,and i know most of persians hate arabs (not me! ) but what about u lebanese ?
all about hezbollah and negative news about iran,makes u hate us ?

We are originally Phoenicians, but we've been arabs for a quite a while now. Egyptians were orginally pharoahs but like us Lebanese, are considered to be arabs as well. Lots of Lebanese speak French, that's why we might be considered non-Arab.

Personally, I don't hate Persians. I don't see why we should. If some people don't like your government's politics there's no reason they should hate your people.

I'm not a Lebanese, but I just want you to know something.

The hatred toward Persians in the Arab world was made originally by the Arab governments which wanted to justify its desire to cooperate with Western countries, and invented another Evil country to make their people always fearing another enemy.

The problem is that this way of thinking was spread since the first 80s and it became so usual in some NAIVE Arab countries to say that Iran is more dangerous than Israel, and that made a reaction by some groups in Iran which made some impact when Iraq was reocuppied. Those Irani groups treated Arabs as their enemy too. The two parties forgot who their actual enemy is, unfortunately.

We are Phoenicians origin, like Juve_Rev said. But we're considered Arabs for sometime now. Lebanese and Egyptians aren't 100% Arabs but they're considered.

Personally, I never disliked Persians, they seem to be really nice people. I've met too many Persians. I must admit though, I can't stand your Government putting hands inside our country through Hezbollah, which is only for their good and not ours. I can't stand Ahmadi Najjad at all TBH.

Now it's my take on this subject:

* Arabs are all those who speak the Arabic language which automatically makes the Egyptians and Lebanese Arabs.

* Phoenicians are the people who lived in the area that is called now Lebanon. These people left that region and moved to Tunisia where they were extinguished when Carthage was burned. Therefore, the Lebanese cannot in any way be called Phoenicians based on people who lived there one time in History.

* The hate between Arabs and Persians is something I am not aware of, the hate between the people does not exist in my opinion however I am sure some Lebanese have started to grow hate towards the Iranian regime due to their influence on Hezballa and consequently Lebanon. The same can be said about the Syrians.

Will, they have lost alot, thats for sure. What happened was an evidence that their arms wasn't directing at the Israeli's but against Beirut, Mountain and Tripoli people... meaning against the Lebanese civilians.

Tomorrow, all our leaders are off to Qatar to sit on one table and find permanent solution for all this mess.

Let me tell u something,
the reason why ahmadi nejad is our president is no one went to election !

Last president,Khatami,he was a great one,he was peacefull,
but they didnt let him do anything.he couldnt, 2 times he asked for more power and the parliament accepted,but we have something they call it " Council of Guardians" The Parlemant has no legal status without the Guardian Council.
any decision by the parliament must be approved by the Guardian Council,they can veto parliament bills.and no one can ask why! (they are 12 people and mostly choose by khameneyi the leader !!! )

These Guardians also can choose who can and who can not candidate in elections ! like they didnt let 70% of Reformist coalition candidate to participate in latest parliament election.

when people saw there is no difference who become the president,they didnt went to election.and the ahmadi nejad side easily won.

No one like him here.
I cant remember i heard jokes about Khatami(the former one) but u cant believe how many jokes they made about ahmadi nejad !
(there is one that said IRAN stand for "Inja Ride Ahmadi Nejad" which means : Ahmade Nejad shit here )

in school,in collage,in shops,in streets and even in taxis.people all the time insulting him !
most of people hate him and we cant stand him too !
he even cant talk ! he is just a clown ! and a dirty one !! (most of jokes are something like he take bathes once a year ! )

All he the thing he have done in these years was bringing bad reputation about iran.and fucking the economy ! (everything become 2 time more expensive than last year...atleast)
and the funnies one : petrol rationing !

I always thought it was Persians who hated Arabs...especially at the height of the Iran-Iraq war.

I think with the new generation it has sort of died down a bit. I know many Iranians here in Dubai, they're all cool people.

And you're right, I haven't met a single Iranian till now that has something good to say about Ahmedinajad.
