And about the video, unfortunatly most, if not all, politicians in this world use use religion as a tool. If he was preaching true Islam, he wouldn't have hinted to exterminate Christians, as that is un-Islamic....but he was just using this kind of speech because it appealed to his supporters. Now, he changed it because of his needs changed.

In any case Nasrallah, will go down in history as no more than a leader of a Shiite militia, he is not great and will never be.

I'm not sure about most politicians, but Nasrallah is surely using religion as a tool like you said, Rami.

Nasrallah is pretty smart man, he know how to let all these people attach to him and make fool out of them, he's recieving over 160 million US dollar from Iran only, each year... yet If you take a look at the situation of the Hezbollah supporters, they're without money, not living in good conditions and so on... Thats their policy, they make people suffer and make them need lot of cash/needs, so they can loose their patient and attack the gov like they're doing now with Sanyoura.

I lived in Dahye in Lebanon, I guess you all heard about It, It has always been the most attractive cities in Lebanon until Hezbollah took charge of It.

In all Hezbollah zones like Dahye and Baalbeck, the gov isn't allowed to construct hotels or anything they have in minds, Hezbollah completly control some of the lebanese cities. Thats why me as a Lebanese, I can't wait but to see them disarmed.

And I believe this will only happen when Syria-Israel peace will take place and US putting Ahmady Najjad down just like Saddam.

Well, perhaps I didn't use the right words. What I meant is that, politicians THAT talk religion use it as a tool. Obviously there are politicians that never talk religion, but those are a rare breed in the middle east.:)

And please tell me you just didn't compare Ahmadi Najjad with Saddam. Najjad was elected, and sooner or later he will change. But Saddam was a dictator, an opressor, a murderer...etc

I didn't compare Ahmadi Najjad to Saddam. They're both diff to each-others. Saddam was a dictator and a murderer, no doubt about that.....Ahmady Najjad is Iran president financing other groups(Hezbollah) and he's behind all this civil war going on in Iraq. He's a danger, just like what Saddam was.

Thats United States policy. Worlds strongest country policy, as a Lebanese, I'd rather deal with States than dealing with group of people (Ahmady, Nasrallah) that are welling to turn my country into Islamic country. We all know how Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and etc their relationship with states. I'd like to see Lebanon among these countries.

No he will go down in history as an inspirational leader that lead his FREEDOM FIGHTERS against the foreign aggressors in our land. His humble army fought one of the most technically advanced armies in the world, and emerged victorious.

Ya 3ayb el shoum 3al Arab who cannot see this. For FIFTY years plus, going on sixty, nobody has done jack shit against the Zionist enemy, and now you're trying to undermine Hezballah's accomplishment.

As for the (alleged) 1982 Nasrallah speech, it is well known that everyone during the war in Lebanon was "blowing their own trumpet". Of course he doesn't want to make Christian areas Muslim, it's bloody absurd  ...and his current rhetoric is completely against such a proposition. Even his supporters refuse it.

In that movie there's a couple saying they're Serbs, they stand in front of a Serbian flag and the translation in the bottom says "I'm Russian".
And I don't want to bring the Israel-Palestine conflict here again, but I have to mention that ppl in that film naming what country they're from, and there's a guy saying he's Palestinian, but officially there's no country named Palestine.
Altogether it kinda ruins the credibility of this movie... Although the idea is nice.
Shut up, my dear...

Enjoy the few years you'll stay there...

Pictures of destruction. These were taken from my "mini-vacation" in December, few days before the new year. The location is mainly Bourj el Brajne, which is my hometown. (and I believe Azzurri7 you're from close by too, right?)

The first is the bridge that leads to the main areas where Hezballah's HQ are located toward Haret Hreik, in southern Beirut district, part of the capital.

-----------------

This is a bombed building in Bourj el Barajne. An area well known for the Palestinian-Israeli-Hezballa-Amal-Syria wars.

-----------------

This is a poster in a destroyed area of Bourj that says Made in USA (referring to the destruction).

-----------------

Another building destroyed in Bourj. By the way civilians live in these buildings, as far as I know...

-----------------

One of the main streets in Bourj...with a Hassan Nasrallah poster on a busy street, just next to my grandma's house.

-----------------

This is grandma's house. Thankfully the bombs avoided it. Of course, it got hit 3 times during the 1975-1990 civil war...but the damage was never too serious.

You want to tell me that the Lebanese Forces gang never wanted Lebanon to become a Maronite Christian state, by sending all Muslims to Syria?

This was the LF's agenda ALSO in 1982.

Like we say in Lebanese, "Kil wahad ken 3am bi ghanne 3ala mouwwelo" during the war. (Loosely translated- everyone was singing their own melody during the war)

When the status quo changes, people change their views and their strategies. Obviously Hezballah and LF do not hold these extremist views anymore.

Inside people's homes, yes maybe. I've seen some horrific comments on Lebanese Christian forums/chatroom. Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against Christians or Druze, or Sunni or anyone...but there is a minority of people with bitterness from the war. However, anti-sectarianism thankfully is becoming a huge campaign. If there's one thing the Feb 14 and Hezballah/Aoun alliance have in common, it's anti sectarianism.

Why can't we talk facts Rhizoid for once? why can't we face the fact that most of the Muslims during the war, or let me call It (Muslim leaders) were defending Yaser Arrafat and his refugees over the Lebanese{Christians}... Thats a fact you should remmber.

Yasser Arafat's gang in Lebanon during the civil war were killing Lebanese Civilians, kidnapping our women and children, stealing and even fighting Israel from our land. and you expect Christian leaders aka(Bachir Gemayel and Samir Geagea to salut each one who stood with Yasser Arafat against their own people?

If I was old and mature enough during the Civil war, I would be the first one to step into the Lebanese Forces and defend my homeland against every single person that would want to take part of the 10452.

I have that, bought It 2years ago, contains (14Cd's). Though It's not the closest to reality or not the best quality of the Lebanese civil war.
I watch it now for the third time...

I'm trying to find one advantage for your Bachir...

In the last episode when four of his gang were killed, he ordered his gang to get thei revenge, and they harvested the souls of two hundred people for nothing but because they were Muslims...

It was called "The Port Massacre"...

What do you call being a leader and telling your followers to make a massacre??

A heroine act??
