It's because they leave them alone to stay focused on their work, which is playing football. They don't use the energy of their players for moronic multimedia things. Shooting sessions like this are tiring as fuck.
This isn't tiring.

You're right though. Pogba hasn't been in one advertisement at MU has he?:p

Though i know that every halfway big club has their own channel. So they do somehow the same shit to their players. :D
But keep in mind this is in Netflix...available to millions around the world and will be able to watch over and over again. Not only great for us Juventini but will be interesting to see if we get anything out of it (i.e. More fans/revenue)

Depends how Netflix will advertise it. We shouldn't be too humble, Juve is easily one of the few biggest clubs around, our brand is worldwide.

The Juventus Story goes global

Calcio fans all over the world can now delve into the Old Lady’s history, explains Adam Digby, thanks to a new version of hit documentary ‘Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story’
As Juventus prepared for the 2018-19 season to begin, they made what has become an annual pilgrimage to the small village of Villar Perosa just seven days before their first Serie A fixture of the new campaign. Located around 25 miles southwest of Turin, it is a place the Bianconeri travel every summer, the club’s first team taking on a side made up of youth sector players on the local pitch.
This year’s edition saw Cristiano Ronaldo net his first ever goal for the club, but it also saw him follow in the footsteps of some of the truly iconic stars who pulled on the famous black and white stripes long before he did. Just like Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane and Omar Sivori, the Portuguese megastar joined his new team-mates in visiting the castle which has long been the home of the Agnelli family.
They are of course the patrons of Italy’s most successful football club and have been since 1923, and it is the way their history has become so completely intertwined with the Old Lady’s which underpins ‘Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story.’
The film, made by Juventus fans Marco and Mauro La Villa and first released in October 2016, explains how Gianni Agnelli, his brother Umberto and grandson Andrea – the current President – drove the club’s quest for a third gold star. That emblem of course represents 10 league titles, and during the course of countless interviews, that trio of family members explain their desire to reach that accomplishment before Milan or Inter could even add a second.
In that pursuit, Juve suffered the demotion of Calciopoli and saw both San Siro clubs take turns as Serie A’s most dominant side. Through it all, the Agnellis believed in what they were doing, modernising every facet of the off-field operation while repeatedly overhauling the team they put out on the pitch.

Somewhat in keeping with Juve’s efforts to cater for a global audience, the La Villas have recently re-released the film, an international version now available on iTunes. Rather than simply dubbing over the original Italian narration, the producers have gone to great lengths to deliver it in English with Academy Award winner F Murray Abraham (Amadeus/Grand Budapest Hotel) voicing the new version.
Furthermore, they have extensively revisited much of the art direction, changing all the Italian newspaper headlines and fan banners into English so that International fans are be able to simply watch the film and stay engaged as much as possible. That avoids the need to rely on heavy subtitling, meaning viewers can enjoy the experience rather than finding themselves reading their way through it.
There are eight further language options to choose from on the DVD – available to buy here – which also comes with an insightful “making of” section and a number of other extras. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, ‘Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story’ is a great look back on the history that has shaped the Bianconeri, and it is one now open to any fan of the Old Lady around the world.

Juventus Story Exclusive: The Filmmakers
By Football Italia staff

Marco and Mauro La Villa took eight years to create their multi-layered documentary with unprecedented access to Juventus.
In this exclusive interview, they tell Adam Digby how different versions for an international audience were always part of the plan, realising a fully immersive experience using video editing techniques to place fans in the heart of Turin, no matter where they are watching around the globe.
When did you become Juventus fans & how did you start following the Bianconeri?
“We became Juventini by birth. Our dad, Rosindo La Villa was a die-hard ‘Gobbo’ Juventus fan and that was it. We grew up on ‘Bread and Juve’ – from the Italian phrase “Cresciuto su pane e Juve!” – as it was and is for many other Juventus fans worldwide. We had a large, framed, Juventus team poster (the 1982 Squad) that hung right across from an, also framed, Italian national team poster in our kitchen.
FI: Do you remember the first game you saw?
Absolutely! Back then the only way to catch a live Juventus match was on the Radio and so it would blast every Sunday morning while Mamma would prepare the 10 gallon pot of tomato sauce for the usual ‘Pasta Sunday’ ritual. Interestingly, the first time we saw Juventus play live was in a cinema where they began projecting live matches via satellite. It was quite the scene, 2-300 men, mostly smoking, yelling at a cinema screen, we could barely see anything but we do remember it was Michel Platini leading the squad!
FI: What inspired you to make this film?
A few reasons. First-off, as filmmakers, we obviously have a strong passion for cinema, a passion that could have only been rivaled by our (possibly stronger?) passion for Juve, so it became natural that the idea of combining these two passions may be a good idea.
In the initial research, we immediately found, besides all the stories and characters we already knew, there was so much more and so many intricate details that many Juventus fans had never heard, let alone seen… we had to at least make an attempt to share this incredible story with the world!
The first person we pitched the story to was Damien Mastroprimiano, an actor/film producer who also shared the same passion for Cinema and Juve, his reaction was strong and immediate. All three of us (Marco, Mauro, Damien) looked at each other and said, “We have to do this!” so, off we went on an eight-year journey. Last but not least, in honor of our Dad since he gave us this Juve passion, we wanted to make a film about Juventus dedicated to him. In the end we do dedicate it to him on screen, but felt we had to make it a co-dedication: “For Rosindo La Villa… and Juventus fans worldwide."
FI: Why did you choose to focus so heavily on the race for the third star and reaching 30 titles?
Of all the different, exciting stories that we were considering for the film’s main plot, one stood out more than any, not only because the now-famous challenge of ’The race to the next star’ having been launched by ’Tifoso Numero Uno’ Gianni Agnelli himself, but because we realised in telling that story, we would be able to convey the true passion in every fan’s heart with Juve’s and the Agnelli family’s highest and lowest moments throughout their history.
The story of the third gold star really tied it all together; the team, the family the fans, the legendary players, incredible team staff(s), Coaches, all of it. We became immediately very excited to tell this story as a movie in a unified narrative.
In truly understanding and knowing this story, we then immediately knew we had to make two distinct versions, one in Italian (narrated by Academy Award nominee, Giancarlo Giannini) and another completely independent English/International version (narrated by Academy Award winner, F. Murray Abraham). Two versions was a must, at times daunting, but the decision was made and forward we went.

FI: What was the best/most fulfilling part of making it?
The best ‘moment’ in the entire production had to be when we were on the pitch filming while the team received a “certain prize” (no spoilers!), hint: we were covered in black and white confetti!
Overall, the best and most fulfilling moment was at the world premiere in Juventus Stadium, sitting watching the film with possibly the toughest audience in the world: the entire Agnelli family (...besides Andrea Agnelli, John, Lapo and Ginevra Elkann, there were dozens more family members), the Juventus players and many more Juventus-savvy tough audience members! It was great but stressful as well, but seeing Gigi Buffon, only a few seats over, getting emotional during a few scenes, John Elkann tapping our shoulders from behind us at other moments, Lapo Elkann (an Executive Producer) leaning in proudly to see it finally on the screen. At the end of the screening, a high-five from ‘Il Presidente’ Andrea Agnelli himself amidst the applause, was really great as he (and other family members) were sitting in his usual seat on the top left of the ‘Tribuna D’Onore’ (Owner’s Seats).
FI: Do you have any stories from those evenings?
Oh yes! A funny anecdote from that night occurred as we were spending a little time listening to and discussing the reactions from the film’s characters (John Elkann, Lapo Elkann, Buffon, Chiellini, and more), after a two or three minute discussion with Giorgio Chiellini on how he was shocked and not expecting to see the film he saw, Mauro just looked at his watch and said, “Giorgio, it’s 11pm, don’t you have to go get some rest? There’s a match this weekend!” Chiellini said, “Oh man! You’re right! I gotta run! Thanks for having me at the premiere!”
FI: What was it like to spend time with the likes of Elkann & Agnelli as they explained their family history?
Spending time with John, Lapo Elkann and Andrea Agnelli was as you would imagine, at first you are not sure what to expect, a little nerve-racking… They were very serious about the team and family’s history and were very generous with the details! However, after spending a lot of time with all three of them, there is really one impression that stood out more than any others (and there are many impressions): hard workers, very hard workers.
Let’s be honest, if anyone might have the option to live a carefree life without work, it would be them, but they don’t. They wake up every day and go to work, all three of them. John runs one of the world’s biggest companies overseeing a ton of car brands and a lot more, Lapo is a creative force of nature that never stops finding innovative ways to express himself and share it with the world, and Andrea Agnelli is the record breaking, insatiable, relentless leader of Juventus Football Club who we need to say very little about, just look at the results, how many consecutive Serie A championships is it? (For the record, no pun intended, seven straight championships!)
Last word on this, but it is noteworthy, we are really excited to have included the full length interviews of the Agnelli family (also Juventus players such as Del Piero, Buffon, and many more) on the BluRay and iTunes Extras, as we have been receiving many messages from supporters on how much they love these!
Del_Piero-_Trezeguet-epa.jpg

FI: What was the most difficult aspect of making this film?
The most difficult aspect of making this film was filling in the ‘missing gaps’, the details from stories like when Michel Platini was acquired in a secret operation by Gianni Agnelli and Giampiero Boniperti, the details of exactly how the Juve players and Agnelli family felt in the ‘moment’ Calciopoli ravaged the squad like a hurricane, the tough, closed Antonio Conte locker room moments and so many, many more moments that are part of the story of the third gold star that needed to be told…on the screen.
It was always the cart and the horse, sometimes we had the exact details of an important moment but no archival footage, no photos, no interview of anyone explaining this or that part of the story, and so on. This is where the narrators came in carried the story, and both F Murray Abraham (Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, Amadeus) and Giancarlo Giannini (Swept Away, Hannibal) gave equally incredible performances.
Other times, we did have a photo or two from the exact moment, but we wanted this Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story to be cinematic, so we decided to (…make our lives much more difficult) and transform still images into a 3D environment where we would be able to actually/virtually direct a scene, move the (virtual) camera around. This takes a long time to execute, but when it finally comes together, really keeps the audience engaged in the story, rather than just looking at a still image or watching an interview… you get to actually see and be immersed in the story moment. We thought this was a must.
At other times we wanted the audience to see where the story was coming from, who was part of the story-telling, when you see the words coming out of Chiellini, Nedved, Platini, Buffon, Del Piero, Pirlo, the Agnelli family, known journalists, it really adds a layer of authenticity that is unmatchable.
A big oversight at first, that needed to be overcome, was all of the newspaper headlines (and there are many) were in Italian, from Italian newspapers. We didn’t want an English or International audience to have to miss these headlines as they were part of the storytelling, so for the English/International version, we converted and re-art directed all the headlines into English! We even had the fan banners (spray painted on sheets, etc) dissolve into english, in same spray paint, etc. These are really fun to see transform into English, some are so dramatic and well, nasty!
Overall, we went through this pain-staking process to ensure that the film was optimised for an international audience to be able to sit back and truly experience this incredible story, well told, with stunning visuals, many never-seen-before!
FI: What was the most interesting thing you learned along the way?
Besides learning tons of details and story moments, it was more the affirmation of what we (and all Juventus fans worldwide) always suspected, Juventus has the most passionate supporters in the football world!
What we mean by that is that while there may be clubs with more fans, but starting from the Agnelli family, who have been supporting the club without any break since 1923 (95 Years), to the Indonesian supporter in a cafe in Jakarta, there is no other club on the planet that can boast this kind of continuous passion for over a century, it’s just a fact. Ultimately Black and White Stripes: The Juventus Story is a film about passion more than anything else.
FI: How has the film been received and what has it been like seeing the reaction to it?
It has been quite the ride so far, from the world premiere at Juventus Stadium, to the number one box office Italian theatrical release, to taking the international version on a world premiere tour (New York, Miami, Rio, London, Berlin, Tokyo and Los Angeles), participating in (and winning) in numerous film festivals (Barcelona, Mexico City, Brooklyn, Berlin, Peru, Tokyo-Nagasaki, upcoming Chinese premieres…) and now finally releasing the film with subtitles in at least seven languages (on iTunes and Amazon ), as well as the premiere of the digital book in over 50 countries (English and Italian Editions in iBooks )
To see the reactions of the fans at the screenings, in so many different places, so many different cultures, it’s difficult to describe the feeling. It’s just overwhelming and amazing at same time. What’s most gratifying is when the film ends, we can’t tell you how many people come up to us and tell us: “I was a supporter of another club but… after watching this film, I’ve switched club, I’m getting my Juve jersey with the third gold star immediately!” Barcelona fans, Liverpool fans, you name it! (and this was before CR7 joined Juve!).
