So it wasnt just rumour, he was on trial with us?

Though from what I read from a swedish article from couple of years ago (when he was 15-16), he basically was on trial for alot of teams. Arsenal, Feyenoord, and other notable clubs (scorings lots for them in friendlies it seems). But apparently thought it was too soon to move.

He should make his league debute in the swedish league this coming season in April, if he doesnt leave before this transfer window closes.

Do you even watch the EPL?

Lets take em one by one

Hangelande: We bought Mellberg from aston villa and he turned out not bad. Hangeland is very good at defense just wait and you will see who will want to buy him in the next few years.. He plays at Fulham by the way.. I'd pick him over any of the crappy guys we have at back except for chiellini and legro... i think he was listed in the EPL team of the season this year(so far).. For those who don't know fulham has one of the strongest defenses in the EPL this term thanks to hangeland.

Lucio: An experienced player at a top team (bayern) a starter for both club and nation and is a good defender what is his criticism?

Podolski: Read my Post i wrote (used to be) meaning he used to be available cheap... sorry for writing his name amongst midfielders i know he is not one.

Arshavin: He is desperate to leave Zenit, he obviously has great skills.. 20 mills may be a little overpriced for him but i am sure he would choose us over arsenal since we guarantee CL football and are a bigger club.

Elano: Brilliant with Brazil, Not so much with city but again he could come cheap as he wants out of city... would be a great sub if not a regular.

Capel: you already said everything about him in the last few pages

Diego: Would be a great signing... hopefully we can find him a spot in ranieri's tactic.. and HE IS overpriced.

Now I am surprised you dislike LESCOTT AND ASHLEY YOUNG
ARE YOU FUKING NUTS?
Lescott: has been more than brilliant for the last two seasons with everton.. great upfront as he nets shit loads of goals from set pieces (headers) , works at any position in defense.. Solid as a rock... i choose him over legro anyday.
I'll tell you what, Log on to www.premierleague.com check out who is in the dream team for defense so far.. now check last season's dream team.

Ashley Young: Probably the best midfielder in the EPL now (after gerrard and lampard) and easily the best winger. Real madrid wants him in the summer He is absolutely brilliant. Plays for aston villa scored 5 goals and 8 assists so far in this season.. the best player for his team followed by agbonlahor.. also in the EPL dream this year and last season. Scored 8 goals and 17 assists last season... simply a perfect player... very fast... dribbles very good... scores free kicks... takes corners very creative (as i said 17 assists last season) and very young... any club in the world would wish to have him.. i do not understand how you people think he is no good.. he is waaaaaaay better than capel, diego,schweinstiger, kuyt, malouda, babel...
he is way better than the highly rated hamsik or any winger in serie a over the past 2 seasons.

Don't judge players you don't know, especially when you are ignorant about the EPL.. calling ashley young a no body is complete ignorance.
Luicio is old and sucks. If we get a CB we should get someone who has a future and can be a good long term partner for Chiellini (like Agger or Zapata). Arshavin is more a striker than a midfielder and we don't really need a striker at the moment. Del Piero and Giovinco can do what he does. Elano is very good and we could get him maybe for a deal seeing how he wants out of City.

Capel or Diego would be awesome.

Ashley young from what I understand is too expensive.

Lescott is not as good as you make him out to be and I don't think he should be signed based on his hairline alone :lol:

RE Lescott: Just what I want in a centre back a goalscorer!? :shifty:
I really don't care how many goals my centreback scores, of course it is nice for them to come up with the odd goal but I would really much rather they were a great defender who never scored (e.g. Montero) than an average one who scores goals (Lescott).

Of course he is one of the highest rated on the link that you provided, he scores goals! defenders get 6 points for a goal. I do not see John Terry or Carvalho in the dream team does that mean that he is better than them?

If he is such a good player why doesn't he play for England?he was given his chance and failed. If you watch Everton this season Jagielka has been more impressive defensively, or while we are on the EPL Martin Laursen has been outstanding but that does not mean that we should splash millions on them especially with the prices that Premiership players cost.

I have to admit I like Ashley Young but he probably would cost over £20m.

Yes, Henry was so unknown when he was sold to an EPL club.
He was only a starter for the team that won the world cup and he was playing for the best team in the world of the previous 3 years.

:p
I was listing young Serie A players who moved to the Premiership and did well. Hamsik might not have the reputation that Henry had, but he's definitely not unknown.

Secco: no Bellusci, we liked Ariaudo's play. No Guberti, costs too much. No Kuyt.

The Aziz kid did impress them apparently and was shipped back to Sweden according to one source. Another one said he played well during a Beretti game and score 3. :confused:
Impress in trial but we doesn't sign him? How?

2 Points that i want to clarify:

1) Lescott is a brilliant defender.. the entire everton defense department is very very good. I compared Lescott to Mellberg (someone we have and like) Lescott is way better than mellberg in every footballing aspect. I understand his job is not to score goals but to stop goals from coming in (we don't want a burdisso or a materazzi) .. He does that too.. i was mentioning his goal scoring ability as a bonus to his good defending. He is way ahead of Laursen (villa) in my opinion in every aspect.
Get back to the website and check how many clean sheets and goals did everton concede. Anyway we are more or less on the same track.

2) Regarding ashley young. I see that you watch EPL and you can see that he is worth every penny we might spend on him even if it was more than 30 mill.. and the best thing about him is that he and kuyt will add PACE to the team. We are the slowest team on the planet.. EPL players will give us some pace especially young.

guys, We are talking about the replacement for THE PAVEL NEDVED.. the guy who filled in ZIDANE's shoes more than adequately. A Legend needs to be replaced. back at 2001, Moggi replaced one LEGEND with another LEGEND... i hope Secco can do the same good job. I obviously cannot claim that young will be a legendary player, the point is we cannot say "Player X is very expensive we need a player who is cheap" You cannot get a player with Nedved's quality cheap...... never going to happen.. if we find someone we like we must pay whatever he is worth to get him we cant think money especially when we are trying to replace nedved.
Again as i told you, Think back 2003, do you see diego, capel or any other capable of providing what nedved and zidane did? (i know they have quality but they cannot replace nedved)

Zidane===>Nedved====> ?????

Malouda= Fuck no
Kuyt= never on his own will he turn the tabe.. can replace camo not nedved
Swcheinstiger= too late for him
Messi and the likes= :) but impossible
Diego = maybe but not probably
Young= higher possibility than Diego
Robben= maybe, but he will be injured and would fuck us.
Ribery = YES at any price

and ashley young is included in fabio capello's England national team at this age.

just mentioning.
..
he also made player of the month 3 times so far in the EPL (strongest league in the world)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Young
why u snapping at me? lescott is nothing special not much better than legro

ashley young, i was watching him long ago whilst you were still being breast fed, and ive been a massive fan of his since he played for watford and single handedly pwned inter milan, so yes im a massive fan of his,and was personally gutted we never moved for him before aston villa did, although i knew it was unlikely anyways. The rest on your list were nothing impressive, other than capel and to an extent elano

C'mon let's stop this Lescott nonsense!!! He is great, yeah right!!! He got his chacne for NT against Croatia and miserably failed and at that point we could see the diference between someone like him and Ferdinand, Terry and co.

One thing that I agree with midget is that if we want to find an adequate replacement for Nedved than we must splash some serious cash but at least that should be investment for the future (at leasr 3 years). We will not find Neddy's replacement in free agents, so we should seriously think about 30+ mils offer. However there is a problem where to find all that money and bigger is can we afford to spent all that money only on one player.
