the discussion about grygera being better or not as molinaro is of no importance. We need a RB, and that's a fact. I don't care if it's a sub for grygera or someone world-class, but we cannot hope that grygera plays 3 competitions with the all the hard work he's doing on the pitch. look at the game now against atalanta... no alternatives, we're probably going to play mellberg out wide...

We need a RB, even if grygera is better than molinaro...

our priorities should be: RB, LM and then someone versatile, like brazzo for helping out wherever he's needed (RM for example)

Do we need another Salihamidzic? Is one not enough?

De Ceglie being considered a winger is the only way a new LB is coming any time soon.

I think he is a better/will be a better LB than a LM, but I'm not convinced that Ranieri sees it that way.
thats what i see also.

this will affect gio immensly i believe.

i would love to see him as a left fullback with gio on the left it would be great to watch. they would link up very well.

well, he's getting old and i don't know if brazzo is one of those players that just keep going on. i'd understand if he'd stop playing in 1 or 2 seasons (don't know about his contract).
I don't know if you intended to say that someone like brazzo is useless, but just in case, i think that someone like him is of extreme value, because he doesn't complain when he's not playing and once called up, you can be sure that he'll run for his life to win that ball.
And by "someone like brazzo", i don't necessarily mean that same type of player but i mean someone versatile, someone to fill the gap when our injury list keeps growing and growing. Why not throw out people like andrade and zebina already and get someone who, at least can be put on a pitch from time to time.

On a side-note; i really think it's time to act on behalf of andrade. I mean let's face it, he won't ever play an important role for us, why don't we just release him from his contract? there must be some way to get this thing done, right? i mean we've been paying him since forever for absolutely nothing. Let's just give him some christmas money, and release his contract. As for zebina, i think we should just sell him for a few millions to any mid-table team. we should be able to get those 5m or something, why keep players like that?

A player as versatile as Brazzo is extremely valuable. Even more so when he is experienced and a big match player.

I was questioning whether we needed two in the squad, but if you are talking about replacing Brazzo, it is a different matter. I think Brazzo can go on for a couple of years, but there's no harm in keeping an eye out for someone to be his long term replacement.

I would always want at least one very versatile player in the squad at any given time.

I'm not sure that much can be done regarding Andrade. The only way to get rid of him is to agree a pay off or pay up the entire contract. Neither party has done anything which would entitle the other party to unilaterally terminate the contract.

And I agree on Zebina.

If Chiellini and Legro manage to keep up their good partnership, Andrade would battle Mellberg to be the 3rd CB.

What do you guys think of Zhirkov as a replacement to Nedved? He plays for CSKA Moscow. Morabito(who is a transfer expert of English and Italian football), said that 1 in 1000 players are like Nedved, but the best player for Juve to get as a replacement would be Yuri Zhirkov.

Gallas only did it because Toure was out injured.

I really like Criscito, though many round here don't. I like his style and fits the bill for the type of defender I want: composed, good at reading the game and more a sweeper than a dominant CB who will go and attack the ball. I still worry about his physique though.

I think Santacroce and Chiellini would work well. I'm not sure Zapata could play with Chiellini.
Genoa plays a 3-men defense formation, but recently they played some matches with 4 defenders and in those matches Criscito was always used as a LB and he even played as WB in the game against Atlanta and made one assist. As a LB, he is not the type who runs down the flank but he does have his way of helping the attack because he has good vision and accurate passes which make him sort of a organizer/director for the left-side attack.

I still am not sure about his future as a LB because I'm not sure about his paces. But as a CB, he is not strong enough and from what I see, the coaches now prefer him as a LB rather than CB, not just Gasperini, Casiraghi (spell?) too. So maybe LB is his new future?

I think Santacroce's style is a mixture of Criscito-type and Chiellini-type. I can see him make a good partnership with Chiellini. The only problem is he's not mature enough and needs time to grow (he gets way too many cards and was banned from the Italy U-21 for some time due to some stupid action and missed the Olympics etc etc)

Pasqual is also eligible to play for the current Champions League. It would be good if we could get him for cheap.

Molinaro >>>>>>>>>>> one season wonder pasqual

People really need to stop disrespecting Molinaro and watch the game. Chiellini cost us more goals this season than Molinaro. The only thing wrong with Molinaro is he cross and he makes stupid passes from time to time. He can improve on that as he matures as a player.

P.S.
Im not saying this guy is amazing but he is better than what people here give him credit for.

 exactly right, the Molinaro-bashing is just annoying now
