this is very true, they obviously think Molinaro can do the job. but do the management consider De Ceglie a left back or a left winger?
De Ceglie being considered a winger is the only way a new LB is coming any time soon.

I think he is a better/will be a better LB than a LM, but I'm not convinced that Ranieri sees it that way.

Well unless we get a LM that can cross DC is going to be a LM I'm afraid which brings us to Gio...is he going to be used as a LM or Forward? If LM then we wont be getting a new LM as he will be Neddys replacement, but that seems unlikely so probably DP's replacement. So does that mean next year we wont be looking for a new LM or just use DC there? Its guaranteed that Molinaro is a LB and nothing else. Perhaps the board is testing DC as a LM so long term we wont be spending heavy in that area and more on a bigger concern like defense. And if DC fails to impress as a LM we have him for LB and then have to buy a LM. Likewise Gio trying as a LM which doesnt make as much sense as playing him in DPs position. There seems to be a whole lot of confusion on our left side....no one knows whats going on. Molinaro vs De Ceglie or De Ceglie vs Giovinco

Well from what I've seen Carragher and Skrtel start most of the time and Skrtel has been injured so Hyypiä has been standing in. Don't know if Agger is injured aswell.
Hyypia played the last match, but Agger generally starts ahead of him. Skrtel started the season with a wicked streak of form so Rafa didn't want to shake things up. I'd say those two are about even. Skrtel is more physical and the better tackler, but Agger is strong and good with his feet and he's got a nice shot from range.

That said, Agger has been pretty standoffish with renewing his contract and the club don't want to let him go for free in the summer. So if he doesn't re-sign by January someone could be lucky to catch a deal.

If we sign Agger I would be the happiest I have ever been. With Chiellini and him we would have a perfect central defense.

i would leave these cb's and concentrate on bringing a good young lb ( i donno what are the board's plans about our defence and how many players they want to get, and at what cost)

I dont think we need to worry about the LB position as much as the RB..

If your main concern is a guy who can cross well, then we dont have that guy in our RB :)

Grygera & Zebina, they both are strong and i feel sorry if they gona be replaced but if we want to improve on that area, then they have to be replaced.

I know that crossing is one of the methods of modern football..

but i think of it this way:

Molinaro's attack ability is 7/10
Molinaro's defense ability is 7/10

Grygera's attack ability is 5/10
Grygera's defence ability is 8/10

thats why i see that we need to cover the RB before thinking of the LB

feel free to disagree :)

Swap Molinaro and Grygera's ratings with each other and I think you'd be closer to the truth.

whaaaaaaat?...i cannot believe this shit....no one should give molinaro a 7/10 at attacking ability....he cannot cross and thats the truth...on the other hand, grygera scored, and he can cross

the discussion about grygera being better or not as molinaro is of no importance. We need a RB, and that's a fact. I don't care if it's a sub for grygera or someone world-class, but we cannot hope that grygera plays 3 competitions with the all the hard work he's doing on the pitch. look at the game now against atalanta... no alternatives, we're probably going to play mellberg out wide...

We need a RB, even if grygera is better than molinaro...

our priorities should be: RB, LM and then someone versatile, like brazzo for helping out wherever he's needed (RM for example)
