So you guys that there isn't a reaspnable threat of him being a dressing room nuisance? I know that's the reason a lot of people here don't want Cassano. I mean if he left on such bad terms with Mourinho and Chelsea and it looks like that's happening at Arsenal with Wenger, two managers who alwyas stick up for their players in the media, you don't mind the risk of that happening here?

even if he did not start over legro (ranieri will decide on training performance i guess), then we will have to centre backs as backup that have really good experience with gallas and mellberg (in the worst case)

Your criteria for judging players is what concerns me Alen. So fuckin what if he played in a WC final? So did Materazzi. You judge players on their individual capabilities not on what games they played in.
That being said, Gallas would on paper be a very good addition to your team, and i do believe he's a top cb, i'm not disagreeing with you on that. What Juve should take into consideration, is that Gallas has caused problems in almost every team he's played in, so is he really worth the risk?

With few exceptions (like Neville for example), playing consistently in such great teams, winning with such great teams, means that you are a great player.
I watched Gallas many times. I didn't just read on wikipedia that he played for Chelsea, Arsenal or France and formed an opinion on him.
I rate him high because of what i saw from him.

All those are players who have played for a prolonged period of time with their respective clubs and won trophies in the process? Are they great defenders too r are they also just exceptions
I'm not disagreeing with you that he's a top defender, maybe not great, but a very good defender who has been consistent for 4-5 years in the EPL. What i disagree with, is your criteria for classifying players. I believe players should be judged and evaluated on their abilities, not in which teams they've played in or how many trophies they've won.

While I'm not one of those that believe that anyone over the age of 30 is crap, it would be worrying if we had to replace so many defenders.
Neville wasn't a best example i guess since he spent all his career in one team.
I was saying that Gallas is consistently playing well and winning with different teams. He proved that he can work well in different teams with different style of football. He was wanted by top teams and top coaches. He was used in the starting XI of 3 great teams and by two great coaches.
And now, as reported, another great team wants him.
With this i was asking why is it that he always plays , and play well, for top teams if he isn't top quality? (not asking you, since you obviously agree that he's a very good defender. I was asking those who don't want him in Juve and who doubt his quality)
