so it does make more sense to name schweinsteigers name in the same threads were names like diego and co. there is a mile of a skill difference between diego and schweinsteiger ...

if you all blame the board for going for a "mediocre" mellberg you can not say that you want schweinsteiger...

I too dont rate the player dont get me wrong.
But what has his looks got to do with any of this??

we did have players of equal quality and send them away only to get a player that looks like crap and is not worth a penny more when it comes to how useful he is to the team.

compare it with your love for attractive football ...

you can have someone that does a thousand step-overs and then scores a goal
and you can have someone that always uses the side of his foot to score a goal

for me both players are worth the same, but i bet most of you do like robinho for doing his (imo useless) step overs and stuff. it might be more attractive (to your eyes) but i don't care about that and just like players that are efficient.

why is it more ridiculous to say " i would not like to have an ogre as player in the team" than "i would like to have my players thousands of step overs in a game" ? when the outcome is the same, than it is a choice of personal preferences.

i do like a 3-0 where every goal is only a side footed goal the same like a like a game we win 3-0 where every goal is scored by a bicycle kick! the outcome is the same ...

so when we have crap players that dont deliver and do not have a guess what to do with the ball in midfield (like palladino last season), then why buy another clueless player that on top of that looks that ugly ?

we could take palladino back and had the same efficiency just without scaring the kids in the stadium.

i said that he would add exactly the same quality to our midfield like palla did, when he played on nedveds position.

i see schweinsteiger and palla do have other qualities, but the outcome for us as team would imo be the same. just another guy in midfield that does not know when to pass, when to dribble, when to shoot and hence has no clue what to do with the ball.

if ronaldinho had schweinsteigers brain it would not change a thing, because when he played for us he would not know what the heck he should do with the ball. i guess the term in english is "decision making"... i guess his decisions when to pass, cross or shoot are in the most cases wrong or far from good as palladinos decision making was, where he always tried to dribble past opponents where he easily could have made the easy pass!

and this lead to my conclusion ... having bastian is like taking back palladino and letting him wear a ugly-hobbit-mask. our game would not improve.

we have nothing from his national team form ... he is way weaker for bayern.

its the other way around with del piero ... the azzurri most of the time do not benefit of del pieros club form.

The bolded part is exactly why Scheinsteiger is overrated by most.Virtual and myself can judge Schweinsteiger pretty good considering we're living in Germany and guess what?We both aren't huge fans of him.That should tell you something.

To answer your question:Capel might be an option to be Nedved's replacement,I didn't see much of him myself though.

Definetly, much like Podolski, the pressure of the Bayern shirt has effected him tremendously. IMO he's a very talented player which could explode in a new enviroment, again just like Podolski.

you want a player that you by yourself claim is not a team player right at the moment just for the chance that we could teach him something he did not learn in nearly 5 years first team action for bayern a very successful german club with good coaches (like hitzfeld)? that would be a real big gamble ... than we could take every player with problems and teach him to be a great player with our great coach ... first everybody bashed ranieri and now you think he is better than different well known coaches that did not succeed in teaching bastian how to play properly . . . sounds weired to me

i said he would not improve our game the same way palladino did not add anything to our game ... i already said, you can be ronaldinho, but if you don't know when to pass and when to dribble you're not useful to a team.

if he is WAY better than Palladino is surely a question of personal opinion.

as far is a remember has palladino more pace and a better technique than schweinsteiger ...

i think would palladino play for bayern he would have the same chance to play in the first eleven for bayern like schweinsteiger.

check bayerns squad and you will see that there arent any players that are better than mediocre that could play on bastis position and still he does not feature in every match ... hell, even salihamdzic was preferred to him a few years ago ! that says it all.

if bastian had a brain he could really be a good player ... but right now he is a marchionni in terms of decision making...

We need to buy there players who can defend well, but with more attacking abilities.

And if Iaquinta would leave, I think G.Rossi isn't a bad option.

Also in our midfield we could use a player next to Sissoko, I think Diego is the right player there.

even if schweinsteiger was anywhere near the quality most here want him to be, he does not fit the nedved position. i am repeating myself ... schweinsteiger does not know how to use his left foot for anything other than standing on it ...

we should have someone who could cross from the left or do you want to rely on molinaros crosses ?

i do better crosses with my weak left foot than schweinsteiger ...

if we don't get diego for the cm i will lay my hope on marchisio ... in the games he played he did some pretty good passes (in terms of passing speed).

it is very important to have someone with a quick pass, because the faster the ball while passing, the lower the chance that anyone can intercept it.
