Tiago is a good passer when it comes to short passes, will he help us? The answer is NO, he never takes the risk to make a killer pass that would result in a goal.
We don't need someone in the middle to be able to play killer passes.

We need someone to give high quality balls to Camo, Giovinco, Nedved, Del Piero, so that they can then create chances.

Right now our problem is that our key players are not being given the ball often enough or quickly enough. This means that on the few occasions that they do get the ball, they will be under pressure immediately.

It's not necessarily creativity that is required, just someone who is a good passer of the ball.
Yes what we need is creativity, which means someone who send a through pass to the attackers, which at present we dont have. we ned someone who has a vision of the game, such as Platini, Zidane, Pirlo, Roberto Baggio, Deco, Ronaldinho, Gerrard etc. Do we have such a player? Besides, we need a quality Central Defender, such as Cannavaro and also we need a coach, as Ranieri doesnt know the basic skills of the game. A football game is won and lost in the midfield. You cant play 3 defensive midfielders such as he played against Palermo.

We have different views on how the game should be played then. I'm content with two DMs and creative wingers.

I just want the DMs to be good enough at passing to be able to supply the wingers.

My tactic is a good defensive midfieder and a creative midfielder. Unfortunately, besides not having a cretive midfieder, our DMs are not good at all. I dont like Sissoko, Poulsen and Marchisio. They are very low quality DMs. In fact, this year we only scored 5 in 6 League games. Why? Because we have Zanetti injugered, the only midfielder who can pass the ball to the attackers. We are not creating open chances, we are not even entering the penalty area with the ball. The attackers are not receiving the ball, because we are not creating. We are a mediocre team, and I am afraid that this year we are going to Serie B this time on our merits.

Give Marchisio a bit time as he's improving game by game. As for Poulsen I've seen him make good passes alot just not for us. Then came Sissoko who despite his many good aspects just doesn't have it in him to give a decent pass whatsoever. Forget serie b we can certainly achieve intertotocup, we just need to really push our hardest.

There is none of our current players who can play ONLY as a winger. Camo, Neddy, Giovinco, Marchionni can play as AMCs too. So Ranieri should consider changing our current playing system. In the last game (with Palermo) Ranieri tryed to play something different. It faild, but it was a nice try. I don't like playing with wingers a lot and i think that after the last game, Ranieri will try to play someting else.

I want us to play something like this:

--------------------Keeper-------------------

--------------------Defence------------------

------------Poulsen/Sissoko/Zanetti--------

--Camo/Neddy/Marchionni--Sissoko/Marchisio/Tiago--

-----------------Giovinco/Camo/Neddy-------

---------Treza/IQ----------------Del/Amauri

We have exactly the players needed for something like this and i hope Ranieri tryies it. Neddy And Camo are getting old but experienced too. I woyld like to see them in the midfield and not as wingers any more. With such a system we can have a lot more creativity with the same players...

Like the Idea just think we might be a bit low on options as through injuries to Camo, Zanetti and possibly Gio. I really don't see Momo covering the flank as his passing, crossing ability is just so weak.

A guy like Gerrard, Hamsik, Lucho...would be ideal. If we can't get that kind of player then we shouldn't waste our time with the Yaya Tourés of this world. Buy a winger that can center once in a while that can dribble and open up some defenses.

We played with that formation against Palermo, the reason it failed was bc
Giovinco was left all alone. The other players have to get more involved and help him out. When I see Werder Bremen playing I can see Diego as the main point of attack with Frings & Ozil find spaces backing him well. I would like to see something like this:

--------------------Keeper-------------------

--------------------Defence------------------

----------------Poulsen/Sissoko--------------

---------Camo-----------------Marchisio------

-------------------Giovinco-------------------

---------Amauri/IQ----------------DP-----------

Juve To Launch Sensational January Bid For Liverpool Captain Gerrard?

Both Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur have moved to dismiss reports on Thursday that La Vecchia Signora are planning to make a move for Spurs midfielder Luka Modric, with the latest reports coming from Italy suggesting that Juve will instead make a sensational bid for England International Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.

The Juve fans have voiced their discontent recently at the Serie A sides mediocre start to the Scudetto, with news that the Italian giants were chasing Modric making the Bianconeri faithful even more disgruntled.

Juventus know that a star signing is needed to appease the fans and are reportedly ready to go all out in January in their attempts to sign the Reds captain.

However, while Juventus know that any bid for 28-year-old Gerrard will be instantly rejected out of hand, but are aware of the financial issues surrounding the Merseyside club in light of the credit crunch and are hoping that Liverpool’s American owners will be tempted to cash in if a huge offer is on the table for their talisman.

Even if the board did accept an offer for Gerrard from Juve, it is highly unlikely that the midfielder would choose to swap Anfield for Turin, with the Reds homegrown star happy to stay at Rafa Benitez’s side.

 Its getting better everyday :claire:

He is exactly the player we need! a leader in midfield who is able to defend well as well as attack and give some good passes BUT he is Liverpool`s best player and probably untouchable
also I doubt our stupid board would think about signing a great player especially as he would fit our needs!
Gerrard is no` 2 on my wanted list after Fabregas (considering our team`s needs...)

There is Zero chance of this happening. Not even worth considering Gerrard. Sure he would be incredible and if there is one player who Juve could use it is him... but impossible.

Hamsik is "un-transferable" but we have alot more of a chance to sign him.. I think if we bid big we could convince Napoli. OR maby we could get Aquilani, or someone..

I hate articles that get ppls hopes rediculouslky high .. only to shatter their hopes when we sign Almiron's brother

I agree with you. Our system usually involves short passes between the fullbacks and wingers. So Molinaro and Nedved work down the left wing while Grygera runs up to the middle of the pitch and passes to Camoranesi who then dribbles past his opponents into promising positions. Due to the lack of skill of Molinaro and the probable shackling of Grygera's attacking abilities by Ranieri, we need someone in the middle who can coordinate attacks with the wingers so we will have 3 avenues to pass the ball to them or ADP. Sissoko's main task is to win the ball anywhere on the pitch so the other CM has to fulfil this task. Our long passes are aimed at Amauri so there is no need for a good long passer to service Camo and Giovinco/Nedved. Poulsen has shown in glimpses that he has good passing ability but tends to stay back. Marchisio will need games to improve. When Zanetti comes back, he can offer good passes as well. Liverpool plays with 2 DMs who can pass but their wingers are worse than Juve's so different teams have different ways of attacking to suit their needs.

It's great if Eboue and Kolarov transfer issue to Juve is true
I think Eboue will great upgrade for our RB.. He is great going forward and not bad defensively..so we will have the more attacking RB (Eboue) and defensive (Grygera)

Kolarov idea is good too for De Ceglie subs..He will be far more upgrade than Moli..
I know that Criscito had played as our LB once against Parma last season (2-2, which IQ goal disallowed) but i don't know is Criscito played well as LB.. I think Criscito will be more like Heinze as LB (more defensive LB than DC)

We need to buy some proper defenders ffs, we are delaying this thing for years. In the midfield, we have the option to make some tactical changes and try a different approach, but at the defense, we have no reliable hardware options!

We need anyone nut Cassano, our managers seem to aiming at him though,
they will never learn from their mistakes...
