My guess it won't happen before august:spliff: ......
I agree. But why we take so time to register a player? Amauri took months, now with Xavi seems the same, though for me is a waist of money as we need a playmaker not a defensive midfielder. In August means he wouldny play fpr the CL preliminary. Juve doesnt know what they want.

Why we dont buy Grosso? we need star defenders desperately.

for the 100th time, Xabi is no defensive midfielder
and if we sign him in August we can still register him before the CL begins
I don't know why you are so worried we got loads of time, it hasn't even started

Sorry he is defensive midfielder. he is not a playmaker. he is not a zidane, platini, pirlo or totti.

Registering players in August means they dont take part in the pre season training. they will take more time to integrate in ranier's scheme. Milan has already registered 3 good players.

Yeah well how do you classify players? In terms of positioning.
I don't consider Pirlo a DM, even though that is the area of the pitch he tends to play in.

While Alonso is nearer to being a DM than Pirlo, I still don't feel he can can be classed as one.

Anyhow, he is exactly what we need. An excellent passer, who can also defend. What he is classed as doesn't really matter.

of course he is in the Spanish NT...and apparently we just need to strike a deal with Liverpool for Xabi, so if all goes well, we can atleast know that there is agreement for Xabi's transfer fee

Xabi is a CM/DM, similar to Pirlo, Toulalan, Aquilani (Passers, pulling strings from deep, and occassionally moving forward)..... Different to the Other DM style of Sissoko, flamini, viera, Mascherano who are mostly ball winners...

---Masch DM--Xabi DM---
Kuyt----Gerrard---Babel---
