So far, if Juventuz members were doing the mercato this would be the 2008-09 Juve roster give or take:

Buffon, Cudicini, Novembre, Grygera, De Silvestri, Legrottaglie, Mellberg, Chiellini, Zapata, Vargas, Molinaro, Camoranesi, Salihamidzic, Sissoko, Aquilani, Marchisio, Zanetti, Nedved, Giovinco, Trezeguet, Huntelaar, Iaquinta, Del Piero, Piatti.

about 90m €:D

we could sell some players and get about 30m € so it is plausible.
and then he woke up

We're basically improving on all the outs:

Palladino -> Giovinco
Nocerino -> Marchisio
Tiago -> XXXXX
Stendardo -> Mellberg
Criscito -> De Ceglie
Yes true, looking at it there it doesn't look too. and plus we haven't even touched or money, so personally i'm hoping for the tiago replacement to be W.C
Although I wouldn't count on it :sad:

I think we have enough money to make 1 mega transfer. I believe that transfer will be a midfielder. I think that our board doesn't want to repeat the same mistake of last summer with the midfield buys, so I'm confident that whoever they bring in will be good. This of course means that they are going to spend alot of money on one player.

I certainly hope so, if we are to challenge in Europe and for the Scudetto we need to bring in someone of real quality.

We have done well to improve the depth and the team overall by bringing back/in Marchisio and Mellberg. But we still need 2 or 3 top signings.

Someone like Diego would be great as would a CB.

I just hope Amauri isn't our main signing

This is where someone comes up with the deluded 'Arteta is Spanish,he wont work in Serie A' logic.

Anyway.Im having second thoughts about if we're really getting another midfield.Of all the players that we were linked with,VDV and Flamini appeared to be closest to us,but then it was all over.The trouble is that the ones who are left over wont come cheap.Lampard is probably the one recognized name who would came cheap when it comes to the transfer fee.I dont think the board will sign a young unknown prodigy.They'll go for someone well known.If it has to one player,id go for one of Alonso or Aquilani.Both would gel into Ranieri 4-4-2 easily.Come to think of it,i wont even mind if Cigarini is the midfielder the board have in mind.That could be very possible because of Ranieri's liking for him.

Camo--Aquilani/Cigarini/Alonso--Sissoko--Giovinco

Id be happy with either of the 3.

And lastly,i wont even complain if Tiago stays here.His form has shown improvment,and if he's played regularly,he could turn out to be an Asset.With the CL next year,Tiago might not be as useless as we all think he might be ie if we dont sign any other midfielders.

Actually... if i'm right about the club's transfer plans, I think they're handling it very wisely. Overspending on too many players isn't wise. With our better youngsters returning our depth problems decrease, they'll improve the squad's overall quality and we can focus our money on two top transfers to improve the first 11's quality.

Tiago staying is useless. Bad move for juventus and bad move for Tiago, in everybody's best interest he leaves.

I like the names you mentioned though. Some nitpicking though :D. Cigarini would not displace Zanetti and so Cigarini would be in direct competition with Marchisio. I'm not sure Cigarini, although I like him, is more useful than Marchisio. With Marchisio we are already improving our depth, Cigarini would be there for the same reason, but he'd cost us a lot of money; in other words redundant.

As I wrote about the two buys should only be top transfers that improve the first 11, so Cigarini should not be considered.

Alonso, is a player I really like. Great style and talent, though he rarely performs up to the level he should be able to have. Whereas Zanetti is just a monster-performer, he always brings the best of him. I'm somewhat split on Alonso.

Aquilani is the perfect buy for us.

One last reaction to calls for Arteta. Would be a very prudent and achievable move I reckon. Though glimpses of Tiago flash before my eyes, at the thought of Arteta..

Arteta is one of those players that appears when the going gets tough. I for one would welcome him with open hands in Arsenal, he'd be a definite starter imo.

There are rumors that Ben Arfa goes to Marseille and Nasri the other way around to Lyon.Shame if it's true as Nasri was a realistic target for us right now because of his relatively weak season.
:agree: Although we would have to be very secret about it to aviod making any big clubs interested, although secracy isn't a trait we haven't used well take what is happening with Flamini, if we had kept all hush-hush we might have well been able to close the deal without milan interferring. If we could get Nasri though it would be an absolute steal.
