Jensen Extends With Werder Until 2011
There is some good news from the Weser Stadion at last with the announcement that midfielder Daniel Jensen has extended his contract with the club.
The Danish midfielder has signed an extension to his current deal, which will see him remain at the Bundesliga challengers until June 2011.
“We are delighted that we have been able to agree an extended deal so quickly with Daniel” explained manager Klaus Allofs.
“He has been at the forefront of our performances in recent months and has played consistently well.”
Trainer Thomas Schaaf is also glad to be able to plan the future with the Danish international on board.
“Daniel has continually improved this season, and delivered on the promise that he showed earlier” he said. “He is an important part of this team.”
The player himself said, “Of course I’m happy to be able to carry on with Werder. I am sure that there are possibilities here of achieving success.
“That was a big plus with Werder. There was interest from other clubs, with a few better offers financially, but I wanted to stay here and achieve something” he added.
Jensen joined Werder in 2004 from Real Murcia and has played 87 Bundesliga matches scoring 16 goals in the process.

Well little by little each player that was link to us from Werder Bremen by articles have either signed for another team or resign with Werder Bremen; Borowski & Jensen. But I still have hope that Diego can join us. I was also thinking that since our Director is looking to sign some Bosman players during the summer (Ujfalusi, Mellberg). Will they try to sign Santiago Solari from Inter? What is your opinion as a Juve fan?
