Montolivo was a promising player but we're packed with that. Now we need proven top class players. Not 40m+ euros on the bench vs Inter top class players though. You hear that SECCO?
+ Montolivo doesn't really impress me lately.

Let's get Alves, Carvalho, Gerrard and Huntelaar. :p

I'm being Mr. funnyman but you know what? A certain GM would have pulled it off. :shifty:
carvalho rejected us

alves is too attacking and doesnt defend well enough, sumthing he cant get away with in italy, ps im quite content with grygera

gerrard - hes just an annoying scouse who will moan that italy is like being in a foreign country like the previous scouse we had aka ian rush

huntelaar, too good for the bench, liedson perhaps?

Alves is too attacking but he is better than Zebina. Alves could be used as a winger as well though so it's not bad to look into him since we do tend to lack decent service from the flanks and he could well boost our right side.

If Cicinho and Cafu can play in Italy then so can Alves.

And your Marchionni is injury prone so Alves would be good.
cicinho is 3rd choice 2nd at most rb for roma and has so far demonstrated nothing, cafu is different he can defend alot better than alves. put it this way, alves is no zambro (in his juve days) all attack and lacks defensive duties

and its not my marchionni, he happens to be juve's marchionni unless ofcourse you're implying that you arnt a juve fan.

Cicinho played few games so far and few games came from bench...He has been good so far.I doubt you watched Roma matches.

i saw him against empoli which was the full 90 and left alot of gaps for giovinco to run into, he was like that in madrid too for the time being spalletti prefers panucci and so do i sad to say
You can`t judge him by one game and that game against empoli roma played like retards.I saw him few times when he was really good. Its his first season here he obiviusly needs more time.I heard 8 coaches in Roma are helping him to improve his defending.

well it was the only full game cicinho has played all season so it was a fairer judgement than the few minutes hes played otherwise and he's always been known for his attacking ability not his defensive and if he needs 8 coaches to teach him how to defend that only proves my point that he cant defend, and i dont think we would do anything like that to a player like alves its just seems like too much effort focusing on 1 player and not a squad.

i think they need those 8 coaches to teach their own defence how to defend they way they have defended all season, throwing points like they did against sporting and empoli

Take what I say with a pinch of salt. You can add pepper too.

Carvalho said he wants to concentrate on Chelsea for now.

we have full backs that can defend well?

Gerrard as a style that can adapt to Italy but I agree that being from England a playing in Italy could be a problem if he's a p*ssy. I don't think he's one.

Liedson was great today and would do the job as special sub but we need to look at Trez's replacement. Saivet? :D

that's surprising, i thought he looked like a great personality to have in the locker room.
Like Juve Red said he has a terrible attitude..most Arsenal fans hate him by the way..He's too lazy and wont bother to turn up unless its a big game...Not to mention he's a cheater and a diverHaving said that i personally am one of the few Gooners thats a fan of him..IMO Wenger can improve his attitude..and if he does that he can be one heck of a player.

It is very obvious you dont watch roma games..for on he prefers Casetti not Panucci..Second Cicinho played agauinst Milan and he was one of roma's better players.

I think alves would be a great signing, sure he leaves a lot of gaps behind..but he;s a very good defender..plus Camo tracks back alot so Alves would probably get away with it most of the time.

Alves, waaaaaaaay too expensive. He's also very prone to haveing an off-day, and when he has an off day he leaves the entire right flank exposed as he still travels forward(and loses the ball) when he doesn't perform well.
