if it was remotely possible, i would want juve to go for schweinsteiger as nedved's replacement, they are so similar in playing style you mighn't notice the difference. they both play on the left of midfield and are right footed, they are both skilful and pack a powerful shot with either foot, can also play in the middle or right. same aggression as pavel, high work rate, passionate, tough. an ideal replacement IMO
he doesn't have Nedveds speed, technique or creativity though..not close to being Nedveds replacement imo.

schweinsteiger's technique is no thing to scoff at, and i,ve never noticed that he's slow but he has some things over nedved, such as strength and plus he's german, they rarely disappoint. plus you can't really expect a replacement that can live up to pavel's standards.

Id love Scweinsteiger at Juventus. They guy's still young, and he could be a woinderful replacement for Nedved. You dont know how good a replacement is unless the replacment actually takes place. But having said that,Bayern would never sell him.

Schweini, eventhough Bayren is no way stupid enough to let him go would be a great replacment for Nedved, I would certainly pick him ahead of Diego and VDV.

Sissoko ready to quit

Mohamed Sissoko could quit Liverpool already in January; the malian player is having problems with trainer Benitez and Juventus has never stopped to observe him.

Would be a great signing IMO, bringing youth to our midfield, has a lot of experience at the top level with Valencia & Liverpool. An alternative to Gilberto Silva, who obv has more experience but is getting toward the end of his career. With Zanetti in good form, Sissoko would have time to settle in, & us not being in Europe makes January a good opportunity for us to make signings, with an eye on next season. At £8m can only see it being on if we sell Tiago though.

But Liverpool are bigger than Juventus, right? Why he would want to come in Juve?

i think he peaked too soon, and the good thing going for him is that he has Hitzfield as a coach.Hes going to groom him real nice imo

Anyway anybody thought about Daniel Van Buyten for the defense? Hes not even given a bench position in Bayern, i think he could be a good buy

He's a great player, but one of Bayerns "lifers", & as Burke will tell you, going absolutely nowhere. Much better player than Camo, no contest really, not yet in Nedved's class, but on the rise & could easily be that good, maybe better. Needs to be in a Bayern team that competes to final stages of CL to achieve it, playing the worlds best & beating them. The team they asembled this summer looks great, & with a year to gel out of the limelight, in the Bundesliga & UEFA Cup they will grow into a formidable outfit for all Europe next season.

much better player than Camo??I dont think so..Camo has more tecqnique,he's more creative, has a better cross and he's a btter dribbler..the only thing Bastian has over him is strength and a better long shot imo.

I have the same opinion for a long time. ;) But his future belongs to Bayern, I´m sure.

Juve’s new Lampard bid Tuesday 23 October, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Italian Press reports suggest that Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco is in London to present Chelsea with an offer for Frank Lampard.

The England international midfielder is believed to be determined to quit Stamford Bridge this summer after the departure of manager Jose Mourinho.

Juve made an unsuccessful approach last summer, but now appear to have a realistic chance of luring the unsettled star, who is under contract until 2009.

Bianconeri boss Claudio Ranieri launched the 29-year-old’s career when the Roman tactician signed Lampard for Chelsea from West Ham in 2001.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the Cadetti champions would need to find £7m to reunite the two men in Turin.

Lampard is allegedly willing to accept a pay cut from around £4.2m to £3.4 in order to begin a fresh challenge in Serie A.

Such a move would certainly spell the end for troubled Portuguese summer signing Tiago Mendes.

Having expressed his frustration at a lack of first-team football, Tiago would be unlikely to stay and greet former teammate Lampard.

There are rumours that Fiorentina are waiting to pounce on the ex-Lyon man and will pay just half of the £7m Juve shelled out in the summer.
