Trio in battle for Banega
Monday 24 September, 2007
Italy’s giants are set to fight it out for Argentine midfield prodigy Ever Banega, according to sources in South America.

The 19-year-old is in his first season as a regular starter in the Primera Division, but is already being touted as a huge talent for the future.

Indeed, Boca President Mauricio Macri has claimed that he rebuffed a big-money offer from Milan before they swooped for Brazilian talent Alexandre Pato.

“There are lots of young stars in my squad that could be hunted,” he insisted.

“The most obvious one in Banega. He is like Gennaro Gattuso, but more technical. Milan offered £7m for him, but I didn’t accept.”

It has been suggested that Inter and Juventus are also keeping a close eye on the Boquita’s ace and may be ready to enter a bidding war when the January transfer window opens.

their is nothing wrong with our Primavera, it's just other leagues teams give thier young players a shot of first team football and wait for them to get mature sadly we don't

but amongst Italian teams Roma and Juve still support their home-grown talent a lot more than the other Serie A teams...the Milan clubs are simply pathetic

Ivanovic = 10
Carvalho =20+ probably
Lucho = 30+
Amauri = 15-20

I think we can afford just Ivanovic at the moment. :p
not if we make the CL. We had 50m €+ available this season so I think with CL money, sponsors...we could be some good players.

Ivanovic will leave Loko for sure and said he's love to join Juve...Carvalho is pissed that Jose is gone and Chelsea have plenty of CB's...Lucho is just a guy I put there but I'd be ok with playing with the mids we already have...Amauri said he will leave if Palermo don't make the CL(they won't) :D

not that unrealistic.
