Drenthe is already confirmed as a Real player last week, and Sneijder indeed is joining them also.
I also wonder if Sneijder can make it happen in such a big league, for Holland, he was too good, last year, he was great, but I don't know if he is good enough for Real, we will see in a few months.

Drenthe has a medical to pass but his contract has been signed

Daaaamn those madrid merda...I suppose the player available for somehow replacing nedved is only VDV..then,we must really get him,or if Secco would listen to Lippi, then Quaresma will be bought, hopefully next season any of VDV or Quaresma would be wearing Black n White..

I don't wanna sound like an Inter fan, but you know, Tiago and Iaquinta was our biggest moves in the market which is some how disappointing.

I can live with it if we sign a big name, I mean a world class player for a change.

hope we will ever sign a player like snijder vdv diego etc....
we really need players like that. but in the moment it seems that the defence is still our biggest problem.

 he is not good enough for Juve, he can play againt Domžale in CL qualifications, but not againts Inter, milan, roma, lazio etc.

on ti je hrvat i to je loše :p
Are you serious? Modric is one of the best young midfielders in the Europe for a number of years, anyone who has seen him play can tell you that. He's 21 and one of the most important players for Croatia, a team that's topping its Euro qualifications group. We'll see soon enough though, when he makes a transfer to some bigger club, we'll see what he can and can't do.

That second comment was just tasteless and I hope it was a bad attempt of a joke.

Look Vlatko, I'm also from Slovenia and what I think is not because he is from Croatia. He is good, but Kranjcar was also good but I think that he is not juve's material. There were also some rumors about how much Dinamo wants for him and IMO that is too much. If it's true that they want's more than 15 Mio EUR, I think that VDV is far better options. Maybe I'm wrong and Luka will be a superstar, but it's easily to play for Dinamo in Croatian league, then to play for juve in Seria A.

They ask for 15mil, they sell him for 12mil easily and he would be worth every penny of it. I'm not saying Luka could valce in this Juventus team and be a starter right away, but he's not far from it. He has all the prerequisites to become a key player for any big club in a few years. When a player plays like he does for the NT at such a young age, the talent is obvious and one year with us where he would play with the likes of Nedved and DP, he would become twice the player he is now.

Trust me, I'm overly critical of the Croatian leauge and of our players and if you were on this forum longer you would now it, but the latest generation of Modric, Corluka, Da Silva, even Kranjcar is really promising. Corluka and Da Silva made two great transfers and I can promise you they will develop further there. Modric is hot property on the market and he will make a big transfer in less than a year, he was not sold because the club would have been destroyed by fans if he was sold as well.

I don't know what you meant to say by Kranjcar, but he's also a regular in the NT and had a good season in Portsmouth. He played a fair share of games and had a good year in his first year in a different leauge. In the preseason he was one of the best players for Portsmouth, he was unlucky to get injured and miss the start of the season.

VDV is great and I'm not saying Modric is better, that would be insane, but Modric has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in a few years. True, potential doesn't always prevail but I have high expectations of him.

Both of you have right. Vlatko is right when he said that Luka is one of the brightest prospects in Europe and he proved that not only in Dinamo he proved that in NT. However Slovenian dudes have right about that we should sign someone already proven I mean WC player. However Luka will sign for Bayern and that is probably best option for him.

Today I've red that we are after Makelele or Gilberto Silva and I'm not sure about those moves cuz I want to se Nocerino play as much as he can and improve his performances even more.

Well if that's the case then there was a misunderstanding, I just said it would be a dream for me to see Modric in Juve. I didn't mean he is exactly what we need now.

LOL, I think you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you know Wenger's track record with buying young players? How many unknown players has he bought and made into stars? Sure he had his share of blunders, like everyone, but when it comes to this Wenger knows what to do.

This is a pointless debate though as only time can tell, but for what it's worth I think you don't know jack shit about football.

I wan't to say that Kranjcar is great, but not that great, that he could play for one of the biggest club in Europe (Juve, Man.Utd, Barca,...). When I watch Luka, I must said that he is amazing, but I'm not shure that he will succeed in big club in Italy. IMO the problem is that he is small and weak and I think that the right league for him would be Spain, because he is fast and the teams in Spain play faster and more attacking football. If he could go in Bayern (or Arsenal) this two club was mentioned in Slovenian news, then he should take a chance. I hope that I'm wrong and that he will have a lot of success.

small, that's not an issue, when nedved started playing he was small to. a year with the the right strength trainers and modric is going to be just fine

please don't compare Nedved with Modrić. Nedved is a "warrior" and Modrić is not even near that at this time.
I agree with you that hight is not evereything, taller players are much better with the ball but 5 cm can be a big difference when the ball is in the air.

OK now you will say that Messi is only 169 cm, and thats true, but IMO Modrić will never be that good. Because of Messi and Robinho I think that the right league for Luka is Spain.
