Doesn't really fit in here and I'm not aware of us having been linked to him but it sounds like we may have dodged a bullet if this is true.

Younes Kaboul has revealed he chose to join Tottenham over Lyon, Chelsea and Juventus.
Spurs have paid Auxerre in the region of £7.5million for the France Under 21 international defender, who is the third new arrival at White Hart Lane this summer.

Kaboul says he could have opted for Lyon, Chelsea or Juventus, but believes he made the right choice in signing for Martin Jol's men.

"Why did I choose Tottenham? Simply because it is the Premier League," the 21-year-old told France Football.

"It is true there was contact with Lyon, but maybe Tottenham showed more desire to sign me.

"Considering the clubs which were following me, Chelsea and Juventus, people are surprised by my decision, and they tell me I chose a smaller club.

"But I believe it is a wise choice."

Kaboul was one of the biggest talents in French football. He would have been a good signing.
Too expensive for an unproven player for us just now, and he he thinks the EPL is awesome enough to join whatever club.

Lyon would have been a better move.

I agree. There is no way we could gamble on him in our current situation. Still, he could turn out to be very good. I'd rather have Andrade, though :)

He's a promising prospect...but the Spuds got too much average players for me to be scared of them...Everton and Newcastle scare me more tbh
Everton might push you for 4th but Newcastle won't this season, maybe next season though.

Can't see Arsenal being good enough to get top 3 but don't see anyone good enough to get 4th ahead of you.
