I would like to hear why no Barzagli? I also don´t see anything special in him, but he is very highly rated in this forums.
because we need a defender leader, like Cannavaro or Samuel, and Barzagli is a "good defender" only near a "leader", like Germany2006 with Cannavaro or in Palermo team.

so only Barzagli NO!
Barzagli + Cannavaro or Samuel... oh yes, but it's more difficult.

thank you Mark ;)

Do you think about Givet? I like much him, he's a solid defender with more leadership.
Unfortunately I don´t follow French Ligue regularly to give a fair opinion on him. Also, I read that he is having a bad season and that Monaco coach is disappointed with his form (which may be good for us to get him).

Why didn´t we sign him last summer and do you think we could get him this summer and maybe send Boumsong there?

Maybe Barzagli is not a leader but Canna isn't also!
I think that Gigi was the real leader behind Juve & Italy superior defencive strategy!
Why Cannavaro isn't leader at Real, he didn't look like a leader to me at Inter too more like a kixer! Gigi and Thuram were Cannavaro teammates at Parma, that's why he adapted in Juve so well. If you put these three guy again in same team they could play with they eyes closed!

What do you think of him? You know your opinion is highly appreciated by me (well except on Ajax players :D).....
Always nice to hear .
I think Barzagli is pretty good, to be honest, but I think he'll fail miserably if we are going to depend on him to fix and lead our defence. He'll need someone to guide and teach him, at first anyway. Also, he IS overpriced, we should consider other options before laying down big bucks for Barzagli.

exactly my thought about him, he could be just like Legro.Damaged confidence a thing that would just damage his game.

i also think that we should look elsewhere as he won't be the one to fix the defensive situation.
