Birindelli,Tudor,Giannichedda,Boumsong,Olivera,Zalayeta,Zebina,Sculli,Miccoli,Legrotaglie should be sold at the end of the season.

Piccolo,Marchiso & maybe Palladino should be loaned to get more experience by playing regular, I dont see them ready for Serie A yet, while Paro should stay.

Secco said on Tuttosport today that he's looking to get big tall players for next season and he's looking at this guy.

Is Sissoko a big tough guy? It's been a long time I didn't see him play. He could be the type Secco wants.
yeah hes a tough tackler and a pretty good player, his build is like patrick vieira's so as you can imagine hes strong on the ball and quite good in the air, decent distributer as well

Momo is no where near as lanky as Paddy. Ive had the "pleasure" to see Momo live on a couple of occasions and he is a hugely aggressive player, a walking yellow card as some may say, but he does have skills. They may not allways be consistant, but his skills are there to allow him to beat a man once in a while. His passing isnt very cultured however, but it is probably improving playing alongside Xabi and Stevie in training every day.

If we got momo it would provide great steal and balance to our midfield, all we need then is a creative centre midfielder to partner him.

I'm sure one of Gerrard, Sissoko, X.Alonso and Mascherano won't be a Liverpool player next season right? That's too much quality for 2 spots in the mid. I know Gerrard can play on the right but he doesn't like it so we should push for one of these guys and since Secco wants a tough bastard then I think he wants Sissoko. He would cost less than Gerrard and Alonso too so...

How much does Per Mertesacker cost?

Generally, I prefer Metzelder. I've been watching Metzelder since 2001/2002 and he is a very tough player. Also, he'll be on free agents in the summer. But his only problem is that he is injury prone.

Yes, he is far tougher than Vieira and we can depend on him in cleaning in front of the back four. A partnership between Sissoko and Lampard will be great.

That's the problem with Metzelder, injuries. :( We could take a chance on him since he'll cost us only a salary.

Mertesacker is younger, taller, stronger, scores on corners, solid defensively...he would cost us about 14-15m €. We could lower that by a couple of millions by inserting Kovac in the deal since DD doesn't rely on him anymore.

We have about 40m € to spend on 3 players so he can be included in that with Sissoko + another player.

14-15m € is a huge number for just one defender, mark. It is better to spend the 40m € (I think that Secco stated that all what they're going to spend in the summer is 35m €) on the midfield line. As we can get Metzelder on free and Barzagli for Marchionni plus around 7m € and we also can get Canini instead of Tudor.

On the other hand, we can buy both Ribery and Lampard using the 40m € and we'll still have lots of cash.

We spent half on Criscito. :D

Still, our GM is Secco and he'll have to prove to us that he can do the job.

One day I heard 30m, another 35m, today 40m...

Do the money, which we spent on Criscito, count from the 40m €? :(

It is better for him to prove it or he'll lose his job very soon.

Metzelder is a giant as well. He'll join us without paying even a penny, what is more. :eyebrows:
