Diego and Zapata will both be very expensive. Even if we sell Tiago, Almiron and 1 other player, Im not sure if we could afford those 2 players.

Also, knowing our management, I think Mellberg is our sumemr cb signing.

(Ive done my best to account for Secco's amateur skills by getting shafted on sales and buys, and it still work's out. At the very minimum, I dont c y the below cant work.)

Lets assume the £20m rumour on Diego is our entire budget. That's roughly 27 million euro's.

Out (Hope for the best, plan for the worst, so Ill under-value our sales):
- Tiago: 10 million euro's (although Spurs were willing to give us 13 this winter mercato, so it will probably be higher.)
- Almiron: 6 million euro's (I cant remember Monaco's option, so let's just assume its less than the 8 million euro's we paid for him.)

= 16 in sales + 27 (mercato budget) = 43 million euro's to spend, although I doubt its that simple, so lets assume some of that is for signing bonus's, etc (7 million euro's) = 36 million euro budget.

In: (Hope for the best, plan for the worst, so Ill over-value our transfer's)
- VDV: 20 million euro's (I imagine we could sign him from anywhere between 16-18)
- Hamsik: 9 million euro's, plus the right's to Blasi and/or Zalayeta.
- Vargas: 7 million euro's (according to the press, his price is around 6)

1st team:

Del Piero Trezeguet
VDV
Hamsik Zanetti Camo
Vargas Cheillini Mellberg Zebina
Buffon

Bench: Legro, Grygera, Molinaro, Brazzo, Nocerino, Sissoko, Marchisio, Nedved (assuming he doesn't retire), Marchionni, Giovinco, Palladino, Iaquinta.

Thoughts?

Realistic.

You could sell Palla and Marchionni and buy Trez's successor. Instead of buying Vargas for 7(Milan and Roma would offer more IMO) you could take back De Ceglie for 3-4m €. Diego would be my 1st pick. Mirante as backup to Gigi would cost nothing.

i like it.

to be honest, i´d be the happiest people if we sign Hamšík for some reasons.

1st, he is Slovak too, 2nd, he could be our Seedorf for a long time, he is young and very talented.

my line up:

Buffon

Zebina( but i prefer De Silvestri) - Andrade/Mellberg- Chiellini - De Ceglie

Sissoko/Nocerino - Zanetti/Marchisio

Camoranesi - Hamšík or Diego - DP/Giovinco

Trez/Iaquinta

That means we need a creative midfielder (hamšík or Diego, but the best thing wolud be both - I know that´s uthopia) and maybe CB or RB. I´d welcome De silvestri with open arms, who not...

Agree on all what u say, but why is it that nobody think of chiellini as our left back this way we can save "extra cash" and use it plus majority of our summer budget on real quality playmeker (diego). But again i don't think that secco is man enough to spend 30 million on one player :frown:

In fact it´s possible he will play on the left flank again, but than I think we need a WC CB, cause Mellberg with Andrade or legro isn´t the best solution, so that´s why i prefer De Ceglie as a left back (and since he is in escellent form)

I think our back line is good enough without aditions (not the best but still good)..
Its gonna be something like that:
zebina................andrade.........legro(mellberg)..............chillieni(de ceglie)

I say save the money that we'll spend on a WC defender and buy a quality playmaker next summer and the season after that we can buy our WC defender :rulz:

I think you are confused. When nabulio posted his line-up, he used Chiellini as a CB and not as a LB. I don't know why people keep on insisting of playing Chiellini's is a LB. He is good at that position but lets face it he is better as a CB

Diego would be awesome, but after breaking it down in my previous post, I think were better off signing the cheaper alternative in VDV. Plus VDV is more versatile. We can change our formation from:

-----------VDV
Hamsik Zanetti Camo

To

VDV------------------Camo
----Zanetti----Hamsik

....and it would still work. Diego can only really thrive in the 1st formation. VDV gives us a cheaper, more versatile player, so Id rather we sign him.

On De Ceglie, he looks promising, but so did Molinaro last season with Siena. I agree though, we should bring him back regardless, as we need cover at lb, whether as a starter or not.

quite simply, chiellini looked a stick-on to be our left back for many years to come, in fact it looked so certain that we allowed balzaretti to go.

and then something funny happened, turns out chiellini is a top-notch centre half, in fact he is the best one we have at the club. the progress he has made this season is terrific and if i was the juve management i would be looking at who would partner HIM in the centre of defence next year

About Chikhaoui?I think he`s good. He`s called "New Zidane" :p but I am not saying it because of that...Anyway I heard he`s on his way to Fenerbahçe tho.
The new Zidane??

lol he's nothing like that, every new north african talent is called the new zidane, dont read too much into it, plus Chiekhoui is more of a second striker\winger than an attacking midfielder..his style is more reminiscent to Anelka's imo.

True..

It would be a waste to put him back as an Lb, as imo in two years he's going to be the best centerback in Italy

i would think both zalayeta an blasi plus cash could land us hamsik..
and so then we'll just need to spend on a playmaker (hopefully diego)
also calling back our giovinco, marchisio and de ceglie..is criscito ready?i think we should take him back for next season,so we would have at least 3 options in the left back position..

still my dream would be to get back
giovinco
marchisio
de ceglie

and buy diego and zapata with some sell we maybe can get also hunterlaar or amauri

diego would be around 30 mil and zapata i guess about 20 mil

buffon
zebina zapata chillini de ceglie (that would be my dream backline for now)

IMO our transfer persiod next season should be:

Ins

Diego
Giovinco
Marchisio
De Ceglie
LB (Vargas or someone else)
Zapata
Mellberg

Outs

Tiago (it just hasn't worked, and with CR it never will)
Almiron (as above)
Criscito (Just one more season out on loan at Genoa)
Grygera (hasn't impressed and Mellberg can play his role)

Other Possibilities

Hamsik in
Palla out - Amauri or Huntelaar in
Belardi or VanStratten out - a better backup GK in

Our 1st team

---------------------------Buffon----------------------------

Zebina----------Zapata------------Chiellini----------LB (Vargas)

Camoranesi--------Zanetti---------Diego----------Nedved

----------------------Trezeguet-------Del Piero---------

Another Option

------------------------Buffon--------------------------

Zebina--------Zapata-------Chiellini------LB (Vargas)

-----Camoranesi----Zanetti------Sissoko------

-----------------------Diego---------------

--------------Del Piero------Trezeguet------

2nd team

------------------------------Belardi---------------------------

Salihamidzic-------Mellberg--------Legrottaglie-------De Ceglie

Marchionni---------Sissoko----------Nocerino/Marchisio---------Giovinco

----------------------Iaquinta-----------Palladino-----------------

This would be realistic and wouldn't cost too much, not too many changes but enough to bring us back to the top and support us in the CL. Obviously the midfield is versitile and wouldnt we weakened too much by switching it around.
:scarf: that would be fantastic

Imo huntelaar would be a better buy for us as he's younger and cheaper
