Arteta is a good distributor of the ball, like a poor man's pirlo, and has some nice crosses. I think he is more of a DMC, but at the same time can attack. Like i said he is the poor man's Pirlo. So he might be good enough for us for next season. How do spanish players cope in Serie A?

Arteta has been miles better than Pirlo this past year, and hes very much an attacking mid evolving either on the right or down the middle.

Yes experience is important, but the likes of Nedved, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Birindelli, Trezeguet, Buffon and Zanetti offer us plenty of that already.

About Arteta.. I never really rated him highly, but I haven't seen him play at all the last year and a half or so to be honest.

whenever i see Everton Arteta always plays in the middle and deeper than Cahill who will be next to him, but Everton play with long balls and couter attacks so they attack in bulk.

They are somewhat different in the fact that Arteta usually plays more centrally, but he can also play out right and for Everton I see him making a lot of attacking forays down the right flank.

For Everton he does, but he can also light up the right side of the pitch.
