    VDV misses a half-chance from 5 yards

But shit, now Holland needs a big favour from the Czechs to get past the group stage.

    I think the table reads:

    Czech 6
    Germany 2
    Holland 1
    Latvia 1
You can see all the results, fixtures, tables, and ALL the scorers in the first post :)

OMG...whtat a game...maybe the best i have seen in this euro.

Both teams played with such conviction... that both deserved to win.

Thw way the Czechs made that comebakc is something admirable....as holland was very impressive in most of the game, but the czechs managed to go thru.

Im really, really happy for Nedved........... is like a rebirth. He was playing like the nedved of the CL we lost. Running, tackling..creating plays and above all..shooting his crazy overdrives that we were missing the whole las half of the seaosn with Juventus. He really regained his form.

But im very worried now.... because if italy make it...all points to a Czech rep - Italy clash in the quarter finals........

    this really sucks

if it is a foul (known as "notbremse") then it is yellow - otherwise it's not a foul...the fact that he already got a card didn't change the rules
By German Bundesliga rules that may have been a card - by Netherlandic Eredivisie standards and English Premier League rules it wouldn't have. And that's the problem with EC's - too many cultural differences.

    God hates Holland.
Stop giving me so much shit then :D

Okay maybe it's not the time for jokes right now

btw I'm just wondering about Holland's second goal, scored by Ruud. Maybe he was obeying (exploiting) the offside rule, but I think it should be revised somewhat. He was waaaaay offside when the ball was passed out to Robben, but since he wasn't interfering with play at the time, he wasn't ruled offside. But then Robben crosses the ball for him to score. Isn't that a bit unfair for the Czechs? I guess it doesn't matter now, but at the time I think they would've been spewing

It's kind of hard to explain, try watching a replay of the goal and you'll see what I mean.

dont blame the ref for the failure. I never ever do.
Of course I know we could have won regardless of the referee; I'm saying that he shouldn't have even been there after that gruesome mistake in the Italy match and he proved it again this match that he's utter CRAP.

I watched BBC coverage - they got a video from the UEFA presentation for referee's. According to that it was a fine goal as Ruud apparently wasn't part of play at the time of the initial pass to Robben.

The rule is insane though - of COURSE he was part of play.

    But nevertheless, the rule exists.

    "Hup" is Dutch for "Forza"

    Happy now? :lazy:

Well what can I say; we failed to convert our every chance so I suppose we deserved to loose...

    NOT

**** that Spanish referee! ****ing moron should have been sent home after that Italy match but he was allowed to stay and now he didn't give us a penalty kick and he sent off Heitinga for something that didn't deserve a yellow card at all! :fero:

Its over now - the Germans never loose when in these circumstances and the Czechs are going to play their second team as they'll be looking to rest their players for the quarter finals.

    God hates Holland.
You should be happy that he didnt give the first penalty (when Ujfaluši held Ruud), you would have missed and Ruud scored anyways.

Anyways, I saw both Heitinga's offences and the first one was a clear yellow, and IMO the second one was for a yellow too, altho he would have gotten away with it had it not been a counterattack.

Anyways, A few days ago I told my friend that there are three groups of favourites in this tournament:

    Group 1: France, Czech Republic
    Group 2: Italy
    Group 3: Sweden, Spain

As you see, no Holland, nor Germany, nor Portugal.

Having seen both teams in Portugal I really doubt wether Italians could destroy Koller and friends :D

With the correct lineup and no mistakes done by Trap Italy could do that

WERE THE BEST TEAM IN THE WHOLE COMPETITION!!

What, because he turned a blind eye to three Latvian penalties today? :D

We would have missed? Oh, right, I forgot you're psychic.

Regardless - we should have been given one. It was OURS to fuck up!!!

I heard an UEFA licensed ref explain it, apparantly by the rules the pass to Robben and the pass to Ruud were two different plays. He wasnt interfering with the first one, and was in an ok position in the second.

Altho I agree, Ruud did get an unfair advantage by being there.
