at the time barca wanted both chivu and abidal and after they bought abidal they dropped their interest in chivu which was obvious to me that chivu was just an option for left back, since then they have renewed their interest and today dropped it again, barca are confusing.

look guys stop slating myself and mark, we are doing our best to inform u, if u got a problem take it out on the people doing the deals itself, we only bring u what is happening. milito is not a barca player, neither is he juve yet, only a matter of time will clear this mess up ok? stop being impatient bitches and just bare with it
I blame you for blaming Secco. I mean, how is the guy meant to concentrate when he has the tears rolling down his face from all the abuse he gets on here? :p

Yez every transfer that don't go throw is Secco's fault. :undecide:

Secco got small pockets and are competing with clubs such as Barcelona (which probably is the most attractive club to join atm for a player) with just league play and an unproven squad to tempt with.
If he had raised the bid to 18 million euros, we would have Milito last week, ok some here like his will to not give away to Zaragozas demands...

But Sell Miccoli for 4,3 is alright for him and worse Buy Iaquinta for 11,3 ( how much did Luca Tona cost?)

For me to give in 2,3 million extra for a top defender would have been acceptable, they arent many of them thats for sure...:disagree:

Ok, guys. Here's a briefing from DPA:

Chivu's agent was the reason for stopping his transfer to Real as he insisted on a five million euro annual salary. It's not about his love for Inter as somebody posted here.

Catalan newspapers Mundo Deportivo and Sport are both very confident, on Friday, of Barca signing Milito.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca sporting director Txiki Begiristain on Thursday offered 15 million euros for the defender plus unwanted players Thiago Motta and Santi Ezquerro.

Zaragoza are NOT interested in the players and are holding out for at least 18 million for Milito.

The highest offer for him was rejected LAST MONDAY. It was a 17 million euro offer from Juventus.

Both Sport and Mundo Deportivo are confident that Milito wants to come to Barca and that everything will be resolved next week. Just in case things go wrong, though, they claim that the alternatives to Milito are Porto's Pepe and Jorge Andrade of Deportivo Coruna.

Madrid papers AS and Marca, in contrast, are no longer so confident about the Chivu deal to Real going through.

Iaquinta will be fantastic back-up for us and he is very allround, 11€m is okay. 4.3for Miccoli, well I expected around 5€m but them 0.7 doesn't bother me.

I think it's more to the Milito transfer than money.

11,3 for a sub, yeah fantastic.. Iaquinta will never be a great attacker, he is and gonne be a good sub, but for 11,3 hmm could have get better, Pizarro was free.

Santa Cruz is gonne go for less soon.. Suazo from Chile or someother cheap player... or we could have Miccoli as a sub, would get us 7 million in +

We talk about a sub, better if we took that money and bought a great defender or a great winger...

That great winger would be a sub or sub neddy or camo in that case. God knows we need back-up for David "glass leg" Trezeguet. Plus Iaquinta will come in useful on other positions. He can play on the wing, as segundo and primo punta and got some nice pace. I'm sure he'll prove his worth.

Zaragoza fans prefer seeing Milito in a Juve shirt rather then Barcelona, even for a couple of million less. :D

I still do not understand why Zaragoza would rather let Milito join a Spanish rival. They may have offered a couple millions more but they have dirctly strenthened one of their opponents. I don't get that.

I agree we are Juve fans we should support our players. If we critisise them it should be in a civil manner and not when he hasn't played a single minute. If you read the opinion of neutral football fans, they all seem to say our board did a good job yet over here we keep attacking our own board. Even Tardelli said we were doing better then he had expected and he has absolutely no motive to praise Secco.
It's our job to be critical but it is so easy to crack down everything our board does. We hardly ever get the facts just rumors and speculation yet some of us form an opinion based on this to put our board down. Fact is we never hear the full story. There are alwys two sides. I'm sure we have good reasons for every move we make. They are not dum they won't sell a player for half his value for no reason . We can say they bid short for Milito but perhaps we need money for a defender and for another player. Who knows? I'm sure they have their reasons.
