I'm just home from work, & I see that Rai also states that Milito is going to Barca, & Andrade to us, which, judging by yours & other posts must have happened late Saturday...now I admit I'm a cynic, but what makes me pleased about this is quite simply that Milito at no point expressed a desire to play for us, whereas Andrade has...& while I often prefer to leave the assessing of tactical & skill abilities of players to others, I pride myself on being an accurate judge of human nature. For that reason, & also in terms of cold logic, I say we're better off with Andrade who believes in us.

yes but i am still sad milito is going to barca, he would have been great for us! although well done to secco for standing his ground, zaragoza thought they could play around with us, 20mil for a defender? :disagree: idiots

I always said they were just using the Juventus name to promote interest from other big clubs & squeeze the best offer possible out of whoever...listen, nobody denies Milito has talent, but when he "goes missing" as he did for Argentina the other night, & plays like a fart in a trance, how much is he worth, & you're right, Secco knew they (Zaragoza, & Milito's agent) were trying to con him...

lol are u implying that madrid and barca will battle it out and will make a thread of that too?
Smth like that, i know there are very few chances for this to happen though, we have to sell Legro or Boumsong first but there is still plenty of time...

We had agreed personal terms with the player, he was pleased with the contract we offered him, the only problem was Zaragoza's demands.
At the beginning we had no competition, Zaragoza stalled the talks and tried to attract interest on this player, Milito was never the first choice for Barca or Real, if they were offering a better choice to Chivu we would probably have already signed Milito.
Secco said he will wait one more day and then withdraw from the Milito chase.
The other day we ve learned for the Andrade deal, by the time it will be finalised our interest on Milito will be reduced. Zaragoza will turn to Barca and Real.
Barcelona has many alternative options and i have the feeling they dont rate him as high as we do.
They want results now, Milito might be too young for the plan, they need someone a little more experienced, thats why they asked about Chivu and they dont want to spend a fortune too.
Real want to build a new attacking squad, they will concentrate their funds on attacking midfielders, they have still a work to do, a 20+ mil defender will be their last choice, they will either buy someone cheaper or they will sell someone like Raoul Bravo first to fund a part of the transfer, at any case this will take time.
In the mean time we might sell Boumsong and make a small re-fund,
Zaragoza would be even more desperate to sell as the time pasts, because they must sell the player now (his contract expires) and need the money to make transfers, maybe in a month from now they will call and say how pleased they are with our current offer:D

By then this thread would be closed, the rumors will create a new Milito thread, Milito saga episode 3 and this is how the trilogy ends:cool:

Like I pointed out previously.
We have been shown as a second rate byuers .
Waiting in the shadow and hoping Barca not to do the move.
It is not Juve that I want to be.
And from which team.
Third rate team like Zaragoza.
Shit.
