Coulthard sucks. He's probably the worst, most overrated f1 driver of the last decade.

PS: Narain finished 11th. Pretty pleased with that. :D

Montoya is nowhere near the driver Michael is. people think he's champion only because he has the best car, but they forget how he performed in Benneton, or in his early Ferrari days when he had only the 3rd or 4th best car on the grid, yet he managed to challenge for the title.

Yeah. In Monaco, where half the cars don't finish, Schumi usually wins it. In really wet weather, Schumi (and Fizzi - just watch him the the Renault this year) stands out. When he's in front, he's like a machine. The man's a phenomenal driver and that shouldn't be forgotten, regardless of what you feel he's done to F1 as a competitive sport.

And most important people forget that Michael is the one who improves the car due to his driving talents and demands to the engineers to change the car. He is the best driver to give feedback to technitians and engineers.

It is a shame to say that Montoya is a better driver than Schumi, and there is no need to argue just look at the numbers they speak for themselves

On pure ability alone, only Jacques Villineuve and Juan Pablo Montoya can match up to Michael Schumacher. He's good, but he's also had his fair share of luck. JV meanwhile made some bad choices in his career, and hes now at the other end of the spectrum. Id still like to believe, head to head, in identical machinery, JPM and JV can prove more than a match for MS.

On rain, noone can come even close to Michael, and they might be able to challenge him in an identical car, but imo Michael woud still win. Remember, he took the fight to the last race when he was fighting JV, and he was in a inferior car.

Yea he took the fight quite literally to JV. Who can forget that incident? Irrespective ive always thought JV to be more talented than Michael, just dint make too many wise decisions in his career, coz im pretty sure things would have panned out a lot different.

PS: In the rain, Ill say MS is definitely the best of the three, but any other time, i think it could and would be different. Even now, with each of them at the end of their careers (jv and ms specifically), it would still be an interesting head to head. As for JPM, he just needs to a little bit more luck, and he'll be on his way to being champion, sooner rather than later.

He doesnt have the calmness to be champion. Kimi will be champion before HPM will.
Tend to agree. I've also read that Williams used to despair of getting him to really work hard in training. His talent is undeniable, but his attitude stinks.

Alonso is driving well in a really competitive package this season. I can't see him winning the drivers' championship, but he's going to be close.

finally something to be excited about. the dogfights (or is that two words) were amazing in the last race.
Yeah, there was some serious overtaking going on just before everyone lost all grip in the tyres. I'm not sure I like that rule, but it's beginning to win me over.

    For who how.
Come on, the drivers have always been the stars of F1. People remember Damon Hill better than Arrows; everyone's heard of Senna, but a lot of casual fans would struggle to name his team; Ditto Jackie Stewart, Fangio, etc. The drivers' c'ship is a bigger deal than the constructors' one.
