There are too many big teams outside of England for that to happen. CL also plays a big part because it's an ultimate price for any footballer at club level and PL will not have more than four places there. CL clubs will be where most of the best players want to go regardless of the league.

Very true. As long as clubs like Bayern, Real, and Barca are around and have financial strength, EPL clubs will play second fiddle no matter how much money they spend. On top of playing in CL every year, Germany and Spain are just more appealing places to live in over England. When Serie A was in its peak, it wasn't just the wages that drew players to the league. It was the chance to live in Italy that was a huge draw.

I am guessing Q4 is going to be loss making because of lack of CL football and bonuses being paid out to players and their former clubs for winning the Scudetto... still can't predict what full year revenue management is projecting; given that for 9 months there is a €36.1m profit but they are expecting a loss for 12 months.

That's an excellent point. We have the international framework in place which stops football becoming monopolised in any one country. In essence that makes the money that Fullham or whoever get from the TV be completely useless. They just pay more to the same type of players that they would have signed anyway. They won't actually improve at all in real terms.

The only change I could see would be that the EPL's prestige could outstrip that of the Champions League. That's a long way off, though.
