The thing which Serie A has which they don't have in England, Germany or Spain is that we have six or seven teams which carry a decent reputation for being a relatively big club in the eyes of Europe and the world.
Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina, Napoli and even teams like Parma *a single tear* and Palermo are respected internationally and this is regardless of how well they are doing in European competition. If Serie A in general can get its $#@! together with new stadiums etc this league has enormous potential. As usual we are trailblazing both in terms of modernisation of the club and in terms of international appeal through results in Europe.

Incidentally I agree with your sentiment about not having too many teams regularly competing, the point I was making was for the potential for depth in appeal throughout the league.
