Re-read my edited post. Look how far behind Serie A already is this season because of Udinese, Roma and Palermo. Udinese and Lazio need to go far in EL to keep Serie A in 4th spot. I doubt Napoli will make it out of the group stage in CL, it is unknown how well merda will do with Ranieri and Milan need to make at least quarter finals.

Serie A may be behind France and Portugal at the end of this season depending on how well all the teams from these teams do. If Serie A has similar CL and EL outcomes at the end of this season as last, Serie A will definitely be behind Ligue 1.

This table says it all. Serie A is clinging onto 4th by the 2007-08 season and once that goes at the end of this season Serie A will be in trouble.

I don't really get the in's and out's of this co-efficient stuff, but from that table you posted Serie A has had higher co-efficients than Ligue 1 every season (I know it runs on a 5 five season basis), yes this season Serie A has started off terribly in Europe, but isnt it early to say that we will for sure drop down the rankings?

Look at the 11/12 co-efficients and 07/08 co-efficient. I'm not 100% sure but I think at the end of this season the 2007-08 co-efficient will disappear leaving Serie A behind France if Serie A continues to be as poor in Europe as it was last season. If Portugese teams have a good season and Serie A teams do poorly then Serie A will probably drop to 6th.

Well that's my point, this season is key. If Serie A does poor then there is a chance that it will drop to 6th.

Edit: If you remove the 07-08 co-efficients Ligue 1 is already ahead I believe.

I just calculated, if you minus 07-08, Serie A is marginally ahead, very very very small margin.

Well it wont make too much of a difference anyway, seeing as 4th to 6th ranked teams all get 3 places in CL anyway

Serie A could keep slipping if teams still treat EL as if it means nothing. Especially since Russia, Ukraine and the Netherlands have 4 EL spots, and if they try to do well in an easier competition they could eventually get ahead of Serie A. But of course Juve will save the day by winning the CL :D

South Korean conglomerate group Hanwha announced their 1-year sponsorship contract with Juventus Football Club.

Whilst the financial terms were not disclosed, Hanwha will be allowed to promote themselves as official partners of Juventus and advertise in the brand new Juventus Stadium.

Hanwha’s other official partners include Hamburg SV, Bolton Wanderers, Everton, Barcelona and Roma

Juve made in China :D

A fund controlled directly by the Chinese government in Beijing would be interested in buying some shares in Juventus. , China Investment Corporation whose number one Lou Jiwei , would have started in recent months, contacts with the company in Corso Galileo Ferraris.
