Is that deal not involving Zapater going the other way to reduce the cash paid to around 8m or so, though?

Tell that to AIG. Fraudulent accounting goes on all the time, but I'm not saying Juventus is pulling those tricks.
I know, but I just can't see us taking that risk. From petty fines and suspensions against our management for things other clubs got away with relatively untouched, we clearly have a bulls eye on us.

Our books were investigated during the calciopoli farce and nothing was found. Considering the non-sense that got us sent to serie b, if there was a hint of anything wrong with our finances they would have made a meal of it.

I don't know much about Martinez, but Juve certainly needed to buy wide players this summer, given what system is going to be used this season.
