The last I read about Martinez's wages (during negotiations, he wasn't happy with the initial offer) was we offered 1.2, while he wanted 2. Not sure how that was resolved.

I think Bonucci was on 1.5?

We should sell Buffon. His wages are too high. Bring in Tim Howard for 2M and use the plentiful 3M on transfers. Maybe we can get like a Filippini brother or something.

Please sell Buffon. For Juve to sell Buffon is like you selling your first born son.

It ain't gonna happen

Quite a shocking difference in revenue...
Competition money is irrelevant, TV money is where it's at, which with Man City, Liverpool and Juve in it from the start will be boosted significantly.

If we win the EL, we'll make more money than we did the last 3 years in the champions league, I guarantee it.

We'd be playing 6-8 extra televised matches in the EL due to the fact that we could actually get to the final. The money from those would in theory be able to account for a few extra million considering the opponents.

Consider Werder Bremen who in the 2008/2009 season recieved €4.6 Million in TV right just for reaching the quarters, which is to say that they got a fair ammount while being much smaller than us. Say we do go to the Final of the EL, it would equal arround about the SF of the CL, which we wouldn't reach anyway.

Your presence on the forum always leads me to become extremely nervous, which in turn leads me to make mistakes.
I have that effect on people. :flirt:

In other words, EL this year is really important aswell and if you look at the teams in that competition, we really should be able to go far, if not all the way. Then securing a CL spot for next year, and it's a job well done.

That's the optimist in me talking, but those are not the most unrealistic goals ever.
