The more of these type of results I see, the more encouraged I am with regards to the club's finances.

Yeah looks pretty positive, when you consider that we are marginally behind Inter and Roma without Champions League revenue and the fact that we have been playing in the Olimpico.

A request is not the same as completing a transfer, but of course the coach would be influential. I just stated the fact that it was not because of Ranieri that Juve were not willing to find the extra amount of money to sign Xabi Alonso, even though he may have recomended against the transfer.

I've always thought that Xabi Alonso should be signed to Juve because of his passing skills and great positioning. Xabi would be a very fitting player to take over for Zanetti.

Indeed he had a great role on sissoko's transfer, he insisted from the beginning with him and his exp from EPL justifies that.
He also dared to play a part in the Amauri transfer, with his public opinion announced for vouching for our 3 promising youngsters to stay.
And he also insisted and praised Poulsen, claiming that he would fit his plans more than Alonso.

However i am not convinced if Poulsen was CR's choice from the beginning, or he was forced/ordered to declare that in order to justify the fact, that we failed to sign our primary target...

CR is by far the most exp member of our decision maker council, i sure hope that he has a significant say, because i trust his judgement above any other caricature who share a place with him there...
On the other had, the more influence CR has, the more is to blame for the strategical mistakes we made and the tactical issues he faces now due to the lack of the proper material/tools.

But i have reasons to believe that our board has fired DD and brought the smiling CR, mostly because they thought the would manipulated him easier and then use his as a scapegoat when our 5 year plan fails to win us any title...

As is always the case: the truth will lie somewhere in the middle.

I doubt he is merely a smiling pawn, but I also doubt he has as much say on transfers as he should, given the limited experience of the Board.

I would love to know exactly what the balance of power is, but I suspect that Secco is the main decision maker, even if Ranieri may have a veto, especially on big transfers.
