As long as we get a large cut of the next TV deal then i'm happy

I do tend to lend my support to other Serie A clubs in the CL but then I regret doing so when I read/hear their fans nonsensical B.S about Juve.

Part of me was disappointed in Milan flopping this season, that part died and now I'm pissing myself with laughter every matchday.

About the Serie A TV deal, I posted info on this a few weeks ago.

IMG media proposed a deal worth 3bn euros from 2015-18, but the league can't accept the bid due to the Melandri law.

Infront sports media (who currently own the rights) made a bid to own the rights for 6 seasons from 2015-21 for 5.5bn euros. Serie A clubs (including us) aren't happy with that deal, they want a guaranteed 1bn euro a season, for 3 seasons, then renegotiate with infront for the next 3 years.

Serie A takes in less than 200m euros on the international market, absolute pittance compared to the EPL.

yet people call me retarded when i say we need serie a to do excellent in europe with multiple teams.
:agree:

In theory, if we want to compete in the CL in the long term, we need a strong Serie A where it is attractive to international viewers to bring in big TV money and be a league where the top players want to play again.

How does Serie A TV revenues compare v Germany?

So Serie A gets more than Bundesliga? Maybe the theory of teams doing well in Europe leading to bigger revenue isn't true.

The thing is; Serie A no matter of its state have and probably will always have more clubs that bear certain significance in the world. I generally wish for Italian clubs to perform in European competition, but not at our expense as this week it would suit our interests best if both Milan and Napoli were eliminated.

why is it better then a bigger cut from domestic tv money
We won't hamper other Serie A teams in their development, more specifically those lesser ones. I want this league to be competitive and not to witness one day 5-0, 7-0 results on a regular basis.

I'd say lesser teams would benefit more if a few teams do well compared to 1 or 2

Look at La Liga vs EPL

La Liga basically has 2 teams, and an athletico who got exceptionally lucky with transfers. Valencia on the other hand, lost its way and dropped down. Every passing year, spanish teams are getting worse and worse compared to early 2000's (apart from the big two)

In the EPL however, there are quite a bit of evenly matched top teams. They buy within the EPL aswel, and then you get situations where the smaller teams will do better when they make a big transfer.

As a result, EPL is MUCH more competitive then La Liga
