New Vegas wasn't near as good a FO3. But this game outdoes both.
I've played both games extensively (like 100-150 hours each) and New Vegas was better. Fallout 3 was more innovative and 'something new' when it came out but overall new Vegas was better. 3 was too linear in many parts for an open world game like that. Both are amazing though.

F3 had Liam Neeson, my favorite actor so F3 > Skyrim. But Skyrim is still awesome and better than New Vegas and it has fixed the things F3 NW was lacking. I preferred the story and the feeling I had in F3 though.

I just bought a horse for a 1000 gold and went to some firely keep. I left the horse outside and when I got back from the keep and searched for the horse I found the corpse of it and two sabre tigers whom apparently wasn't satisfied yet. 1000 gold well spent...

I did a quest and apparently got engaged to someone while blacked out (in the game not irl). Fun fun.
I did this one as well, the bride to be was no pretty picture :D

bah never mind, ill just get my bitch hoe to bring me the coin each day
There's an amulet in Riften which opens up the speech option to get married apparently?

This game is overloaded with small quests. Not that that's bad, more playing time, but I get so fucking sidetracked.
There are certain side quests that will keep respawning like the Animal Extinction one Aela the Huntress gives you.

I'm starting to think I maybe should switch my follower. Are all followers of the same "quality" or are there any difference?

I usually end up there after a Giant or Troll has released his fury upon me. Perhaps that's what's happened with you?

Yo, why is the Simitar so bad ass. My character is so funky right now. Running around in Steel Plate armor, Dwarven helm.

Ok I'm quite far into the game now but have yet to chose which side I'll take (Stormcloaks or Imperials), may not pick one at all if that's a possibility. I'm just wondering though, does joining the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild affect how either of the two factions above react to you?

Also, I'm taking the paragon route so does that mean it's counterproductive to join the thieves or the brotherhood?

i joined the imperials, you can avoid it, however in the main quest line it is annoying to get the 2 to sit down at the negotiating table.

btw im mostly fully legendary daedric armour geared now :D
