I've just played the first main quest which involves your character creation and a little bit of training. Never played Oblivion myself, but in comparison to Fallout 3 & New Vegas, this is a much more polished game. There's a massive difference in the quality of the graphics, most noticeably the NPC's faces now don't just look like that of generic manikins. Again, having not played Oblivion it's hard to compare the combat system, but in comparison to fallout again, melee attacks seem more fluid and dual-weapon wielding (including magic) is a cool addition. Can't really say anymore without spoiling what is an awesome opening to a game though.
