Del Piero at Juve forever!

Sure, Juve could sell DP, and then have to deal with the riots in the streets of Turin. Moggi would never be able to be seen in public again, as his life would be in constant danger. The club HQ would be burned to the ground. Once in every generation a player comes along that attains god-like status at a club. DP is that player. You do not mess with this.

What about Zidane and Baggio? Why weren't they owed at least that much?
Baggio didn't do as much for Juve as Del Piero has and Zidane chose to leave. Whether you like it or not, Juve will not just dump Alex for someone else unless he himself decides that he wants out.

del piero is much more than a player for juve,
everybody expected more than him,
he could be one of the best players football ever had,
he wasnt lucky enough.
Juve supported him (team+supporters), so as he did.
even today a few players can replace him, but who can tell for sure?
if juve doesnt believe in him why another club should and pay big money for it?
ok inter could do it(they dont seem to care about money),
players like alex are an investement, u cant win all the time.
alex is a superstar, people pay money just to wach him try2do smth, all over the world(publicity+tickets pay a great part of his wage), miccoli can do this?
he is a proud player who loves the club, helps and inspires his fellow players, a model for all youngsters, cassano would support a newcomer like treze or spit him in the face like his mentor totti?
u can find many players like olivera and maresca but can u really be sure that they are able to curry all the weights alex has when they asked? are u sure they have more potential? r u sure juve doesnt need his experience?
imo he isnt as good as he sould but his wage is excused, there arent many players like him and someone if becomes del piero then he sould have his salary.
and now about the money juve will win by selling him.
how much do you thing he will bring in now?
and with that money are you sure we can find for sure to replace him with a world class player who is much younger, has alex s potential, will fit in juve no time and be constant, score as much as they ask for alex to score, be creative, the flag of the team, never been injured, play great games in every big match,
can anybody name me this player?
anyone?
if u name this player, u find the reason to sell alex,
Then dont waste time, call moggi-line tell the name first, then his price and the club who will pay this price for alex and we ll see what we can do!

The thing with Del Piero is that he's the perfect example of a player which isn't recognized as much as he deserves to. Unlike players like Trezeguet, he doesn't score a load of goals, still he helps out the team like nobody can. Like somebody here said, without him Trez would never score as much as he did. Neither would Inzaghi, who formed a perfect partenrship with him for many years. Del Piero is a unique player with unique characteristics, and people should know there is no way replacing such player. He may not be as good as he was, but he still has a lot to offer and will always give 100% to the club, like he always has.

Forza Ale!:)

i do not think that juve should sell del piero, he is the juve icon and captain, he is our all time top scorer in teh champions league and is almost the all time juventus top scorer in all competitions, he always gives his best to the team, and when he is on form there are few players who can match him, del piero is 30 years old and if he can find form he is still a very usefull player

I voted for no. :)

Should Del Piero be sold? No, just bench him.
Will he be sold? No.
Should the coach relegate him to the bench? Definitely.

@Andy: If we sold Del Piero, the only fans we'd lose are those who love one player more than they do love the club, aka azzurri7 style. ;)
Amen to that

While I think it would be good for Del Piero and Juventus if he was sold, I still think that it's a crime to sell someone who has given so much to the club. Much like Maldini at Milan, Raul at Madrid, Del Piero should hang up hit boots while still in the white&black.
Well Said..

now explain to me, who doesnt recognize DP ? is it the fan that the first juve jersey he/she buys is DP's (most of the times)
or is it the managment who gave him a nice big fat salary ?

Yeah, Del Piero is never recognized. His name is never chanted during Juve matches, he is never called one of the best striker in the world by who else but Maradona, and there are no fans here that love Del Piero. Right on

I Think Del Piero is a fair player ... he plays a fair game most of the time... he gets along with all his team mates ... and doesnt lose his temper fast... doesnt get too excited in a much .. hence he wont swallow his tongue... i personally just enjoy watching him play .... good or bad ....
if any other player got substituted as much as him especially a captain he would be fuking the manager all over the media .. but del piero is a decent guy and hes very dedicated to his club and fans ( check his official fanstie) should we sell him no.... simply because i enjoy his presence at the club ... i am sure a lot of people feel this way

What about those millions of fans ignoring his hard work and dedication and instead constantly waiting for new reasons to criticize him? Those who would never bother taking a second look and see what he is actually made of?

those fans are only worried about the team. they think about how much DP is costing them. for a guy with that salary the expectations should be a little high.
